We all know the ESRB is filled with a bunch of over-protective wierdos. Why else did they rate Halo or Call of Duty 4 M? Well many a Battlefield Fans have become especially concerned over this as of late. With DICE's release of 2 previouse trailer which either showcased blood, or the F-bomb. So is bad Company really all that Bad to the ESRB this year? Let's take a look.

In Europe, PEGI quickly rated the game 16+. This means... well... it's 16+. That, is not a big surpise, as they have ALWAYS rated the Battlefield series as 16+. This, however, does point more towards the Teen rating. For PEGI to rate the game that damned quickly does point that... well... there isn't that much TO rate.

Moving on to the trailers, we see a very small ammount of blood given to the headshots... that's it. It doesn't splatter, it doesn't leave a stain, it just comes and goes... JUST LIKE VIETNAM! Vietnam was in fact rated T, and it had sprays of blood on every bullet hit. If the ESRB allowed that, what the hell is there to worry?!

Language, tis the deciding factor. Battlefield games have not been known to drop the language, Bad Company was the exception. Its first game featured multiple uses of Condemn, and Sh*t. Giving it the Strong Language Vibe. However it got away with the T rating. In addition, games like Destroy all Humans had even MORE frequent use of that... so... it gots a T rating.

When it comes down to it, it comes to the ammount of violence... luckily at BFBC2's blog, they have excerpts of the BFBC2 PAX tourny. I saw no blood at all, even on knife kills. The violence is STILL BF2ish... so... nothing to worry about there!

Over-all, it's undecisive, but based on the evidence and the fact that Gamespot has already reported the T for teen rating on the game. We should all know that DICE's promise to keep it clean, is still being kept. Rest peacefully, nothing to worry about.
