I'm planning on releasing a triple C title this holiday season (forget about holiday season - When It's Done ;) - but soon) 8)<directX 11 required, pong-like graphics>
I haven't (by some strange chance) played it yet so I'm definitely gonna wait for commercial release and skip free version (I'll probably play it after remake). Anyways, thanks for the (re)upload.
Do not worry, you won't get academic job due to your miserable knowledge of grammar. The first thing academic has to know is punctuation and capital letters.
Wow, I'm soooo disappointed at many MODDB members today. You're making all kinds of excuses why this game shouldn't go commercial, and let me tell you - none of your retarded arguments are valid. WTF: DE shouldn't be released commercially because it was started as a (visual overhaul of a) mod ??? Why? I mean what right do you have to say this? It is THEIR intellectual property and they can distribute it for free or charge for it, it's up to them and no one else. The only persons that should be damn ashamed of themselves are the ones giving idiotic comments like the one I mentioned. I say good luck to the developers, I WILL buy your game (no doubt) and please don't judge the whole community on basis of a handful of immature trolls.
No way, I never thought I'm gonna agree with Killer89(FIN) but now I do. What a happy day!
I just finished the game and I suggest to anyone reading this to do so as well. Here are my thoughts: The Good: Atmosphere, it reminds me a lot of Penumbra games which is awesome of course. The reason why I'll remember this game is because it actually gave me a scare which happens very very seldom in any game, so thumbs up for that. I liked your audio too, it's well made albeit a little repetitive. The Bad: Graphical design in some places. Maps look dull and blocky and lightning needs a LOT of work, the gfx assets are rather good, but the lightning doesn't do it any justice (I suggest you look at "modern" FPSs and study their level design - obvious choices would be Penumbra games and Amnesia, but stuff like Half Life 2, L4D, Alan Wake and pretty much any other post 2003 FPS/3DPS would do). The third thing that annoyed me the most is that I couldn't play it in Fullscreen, I know (we all do :) ) that Unity has this feature and you should and must - in your future iterations - take advantage of that. Bottom line is that I really enjoyed your game and it's absolutely worth playing and if you'll take aforementioned points into consideration I'm quite sure that you'll have a winner on your hands. Good work guys and good luck.
There were loads of commercially released unofficial map packs, addons and even TCs for popular FPSs in mid 90s.E.g. "Malice" ( Ratloop.com ) was really good commercial TC. A rather small list of commercially released Q1 addons is here: Quaketerminus.com . Cheers.
Now that's awesome, should be a lot of fun at a LAN party.
FYI: importing assets from one game to another and distributing it without permisson of the authors and/or publisher is pretty illegal.
Most awesome news ever! I can't really tell you how satisfied I'm with your decision here.
I'd like to see Austria-Hungary btw :)
Amazing mods, good stuff!
Atmosphere in this game is really second to none, what bothers me is the fact that you have to put a goddamn bulletstorm (no pun intended)to take down a single robot and overall inaccuracy of the firearms (those two problems are probably closely related).

Looks awesome, tracking.
Imo the "leg feature" in L4D looked really weird.
Hey guys, your mod looks really good, but I'd really really like to see Austria as one of the factions :)
Very good looking, keep up the good work guys!
Wow really, really tough competition for Seumas McNally (may he rest in peace) Grand Prize this year I see.
What a wonderful name for a game :)
Congratulations, well deserved.
Wow, that was really good!
You can say that again :) But really - this year saw some pretty neat indies released and it looks that next year will be even better. Good times!
I know that - I'm just a little short on money right now, so I'll probably wait for a sale of some sort.
I can - Penumbra: Overture, Penumbra: Black Plague, Penumbra: Requiem. Again - this is the editors choice, what people always remember in the end is MOTY which is players choice.
That was one tough category this year, well chosen winner imo, looks awesome - I really hope there'll be a xbla sale with Limbo soon.
They "should" pick a game they see fit and they did.
