Looking great :D Yes like Cingularity said, a decent level Revenanat (i believe that's the name) flying around the Pirate systems would be a very nice touch if possible.

Sensible prices, no more greedy publishers (more studios 'self publishing' through steam etc?), no restrictive DRM (happy with the good old cd-key system but don't push it), not necessarily open Betas but certainly more Demos and exclusive (to those who puchased it) content.

That's how i feel piracy can be limited (let's face it, it will never go away as long as there are those who can't afford £40+ games that are being shoved in their faces).

Not many here have thought about the original developer. Mods are just that, modifications of a game already developed by a studio. Start charging for them and you're making money off of the game it is dependent on which i just don't think is right. Theres also the point that the consumer has already purchased the base game so the mod could be classed as (in my opinion) DLC but without full support as it sometimes has to catch-up when the base game gets an update.

Taking donations i believe is perfectly fine but if you want to make a mod pay2play then it should be made a stand-alone title to ensure value and support. That is why i choose option 3.

Definately makes me think of Mass Effect, i can't wait to hear it in Sins. I'd be more than happy to buy the OST when it's released.

very very awesome mod, great job. just one small thing, i downloaded Maelstrom v1.011 R2 (Diplomacy SoaSE) and in-game the Cosmic Collective have the Frendship Starbase, i presume its a typo? but yeah love it :)

I don't think so, on the website (http://starruler.blind-mind.com/buy.php) it shows Gamersgate, Steam, Direct2Drive and Impulse as the only way to buy it. There is also a Demo and a way to donate to the developers on that page.

I have an idea for a map, what about the Bakara Market in Mogadishu from Blach Hawk Down. Dusty, narrow roads. Lots of small houses and low buildings, few open areas etc
