I dont make mods but I love playing them! I get mods for sins of a solar empire and star wars empire at war mostly, but I also play Garrysmod, If that even counts.......

Dont even have to do that. When you launch Med 2, just select the version of the game you applied the mod to. In my case it was Britannia. So when I launch it, select Britannia from the list, and it launches third age.

saw on your profile, nice smartbomb effect, looks great. On the subject of the music though, the way Haiyoo had it set before, was that all factions shared the same music pool, instead of having factional tracks like normal. Supposidly this saved on a little bit of resources, and made the file size smaller as there would be no duplicate tracks because obviously in EVE every faction has the same music. And as I have no idea how to code, if someone can give me a list of combat, idle, sad, and whatever other tracks are needed, I can get working on a track list.

I actually had a bunch done for the Norlamin in the maelstrom mod for funzies, but I had a windows issue which forced me to do a clean install and I lost it.

aww, ok thanks. I tried a couple submods once, but I never really enjoyed them as much as the base mod and in order to revert back I had to redownload and reinstall the entire base mod again, which can take several hours. At least when they stopped production of the base mod they left it done really well with minimal bugs and glitches.

can someone point me to a submod that ONLY adds garrison units that are determined on what buildings you have built in your city, and is made for the base mod (latest version here) not another submod?

Why can people not see that mods are not for profit and are being done in average people's spare time? Its not like they paid for it and are waiting for it to come out. Its free and a mod, be patient people!

I will message him as soon as he comes on steam to see what he says.

All those ideas sound awesome, and I don't really think modeling should be an issue, as if I remember right, they just converted the models from EVE, reduced their polycount and changed them to work with sins. I don't think they did any actual modeling themselves. But at least they had CCP's permission to do so.

would still be cool if you can upload pics to your profile page. I have Haiyoo still on steam so I can see if he is still interested, and Sab_pro (one of the older devs) still comes on occasionally, and I sent him a message.

I really hope this starts back up again, he tried to get it going last year, got one version out that crashed when you told the AI to play as Amarr, then development slowly declined until nothing again. EVE as an RTS like this would be awesome to actually see completed.

Also, I know you already have the work done, but wouldn't it have made a bit more sense for the Amarr Empire to be based off the Advent? They are the most similar, in terms of tech and religion stuff.

Personally, I think you should continue here. I think the main reason Haiyoo stopped was because he was all alone, all the others that had helped him he lost contact with. If he sees that people are still interested in helping, he may return. Plus this mod still has 746 watchers. Think you could upload some screenies to your page?

Also, if you do decide to make a new entry, can I pick the music?

MrPerson Oct 20 2014, 8:23am replied:

Oh, sorry, I misunderstood. The large list includes minor factions, and the 8 in the "Future release details" will be the playable ones? And if you cannot make a new map, how will the campaign map work with still being Europe?

Also, is there a moddb page for the other mod I heard of that takes inspirations from the movies, not the books? Not saying I dislike the books or your work, I am just must more familiar with the movies and the look of the units from TATW

MrPerson Oct 20 2014, 7:57am says:

So will all the factions in the list above be playable? I played The Medieval total war Third Age mod to death, and I liked how there were only 2 Elf factions, 4 orc ones and 1 dwarf one, plus the obvious human ones. Its a personal issue, but having 3 dwarf factions? how many cities do they start out with? And wouldn't it be weird if there were fights where dwarves and elves Had infighting between their same race?

Can't Wait for this

Wow, smaller than an Acclamator, seems weird. Personally I don't care for canon stats, I would make them as big as victories or slightly larger if I had my way. And FOC is where I first saw the Immobilizer 418, though in the game it is called an Interdictor. So its kinda ingrained in my head that way now.

Look forward to seeing what you have in mind. For some reason when I hear interdictor, I have it set in my brain to think of the Empire little hyperspace jamming one, not the kotor era battleship, thus why I keep calling it Leviathan, as that is the one from kotor lol.

I just noticed (man I am slow) the leviathan (or whatever ship class it actually is) is not in the Unity's ship list? Why is it not included? Is there another ship that takes its place? Those things were so cool looking.

Kinda wish I hadn't noticed.....
