I dont make mods but I love playing them! I get mods for sins of a solar empire and star wars empire at war mostly, but I also play Garrysmod, If that even counts.......
I vote wraithking too
ooh, like the new bridge, it stands out
thanks, appreciate that :D
Will the Mandelorians have a defiler like unit? I could never play vanilla FOC against the Consortium because they would destroy buildings of mine ALL THE TIME. I am talking like up to 5 in a galactic day. Its more annoying than cool, at least for the factions fighting them
oh, never tried scuttling them. Never thought about it.
I always just kinda messed with the system and tried to keep from capping the moons until I built a starbase first, then capped the moons. That way you can have both as long as you build the real starbase first >:D
one spelling mistake "the providence can continue to pack a *bunch* (should be punch right?) even in the GCW era
Anyway, this is cool, I always liked CIS ships, good to see one of the cooler ones :D
the moons just add a random type of moon to certain planets randomly that act like starbases, and each type of moon has slightly different abilities. Each planet can have anywhere from 0 to 3 moons.
Problem is that if you want to defend a planet with a real starbase (which are still better than moons) if you capture a moon first, you cannot place a starbase. As the game confuses starbases and moons as the same thing
when I came to this picture it had 343 views o_o
I understand, I actually find land combat rather enjoyable, but I see why a lot of people don't. Kind of sad though, no Old republic mods I know of have ground combat :(
I thought at one point you were using basic reskin units from other mods and just just replacing vanilla units with them or something, like I remember some old screenshots of mandalorian and sith troopers, or was that another mod?
Isn't that sort of an oxymoron?
to my very basic understanding, all 3D models have polygons in them to form shapes, the higher the polygon count of a model, the smoother the edges look and the more detailed the model looks. However, this can cause performance issues, especially in older games not designed to have high polycounts in them, or lower end machines.
yay! can't wait to play as EOTH!
its not bad, it could be used for a specific regiment of troopers, but it should not replace the classic stormtrooper helmet completely.
only problem I have seen so far is that none of the alerts show up, like casualties, kills, xp gain, damage done etc even though they are all enabled in the options.
haha, I get it, its alright. Been in the same circumstance before.
happy birthday! also, ship specialization makes a lot of sense, cool that you are reworking it.
Also, how did you get into world of warships? is it fun?
ah, sounds familiar, I play sins of a solar empire a lot, and that is the problem that game has too. It was built on an engine in the mid 2000s so it only uses one core, so later in game where you get many ships and big battles it lags terribly on any computer.
Though I could have sworn vanilla ran fine, but the lowest I have dropped was 8fps when I was fighting a rebel group that had like 2k skeletons when I was vampire counts and had about 2k zombie hoards. That was fun though :p
edit* last question lol, any tips on fighting units like tanks or the beastmen giant minataurs as the vampire counts? Craptons of heavy skeletons, spearskeletons and the halberd guys don't seem to work very well and I lose any battle that has those type of units in them, they can take out hundreds of my troops before I take out one of theirs.
also, random question, why does this mod run really bad? or at least it does for me. I can play Rome II on near max settings at 40-60fps, but in this I get a max of 40, with a low of 10. 10fps... why? strange thing is that even when I turn down the settings from max, the frames go even lower.
Thanks if you answer.
ah, it was a stupid mistake, I misinterpreted it so I put it in
Rome Total War Gold\data\WHTW
instead of just
Rome Total War Gold\WHTW
sad part is that I think it has a better texture than it does in ME and ME2
Good luck, still sad this didn't get funded.
very true, though you could always make your version, and if minimalist people like me could just use vanilla if you don't feel like making multiple
True, but the health bar seems a lot larger than it really needs to be Imo, you could reduce the height of the bar itself by near half if you wanted to, and it would still look fine for this. It just seems too large here for some reason, but that could just be me.
And yea, again IMO, you could just completely remove the tooltips, if you liked battlefront II enough to be playing it today, and especially know how to mod it, they probably know how to play it already
well the box around the weapons isn't too bad, maybe reduce the opacity a bit, but I feel that the boxes around the tooltips on the top, and around the reinforcement and health bars are unneeded. There are no borders on those things in the vanilla game, just change the text color to white, or some other color that stands out, but is not too in your face or something lol.
there is a way to leave it vanilla still right? I don't like the big blue boxes on everything, like the unofficial patch includes. It is distracting to me.
yea, I didn't mean rome II lol, just been playing that recently. I was doing it on Rome I, was a typo
so I installed it correctly following the readme (even put the new fmv video in which worked) but for some reason, even with the folders in the right spot and the launch command in steam, the game launches, but when you select imperial campaign, it is just the normal Rome II factions. Can someone help?
its a shuttle, and this one doesn't even have guns on it like the alliance one from ME3, so I doubt its a fighter. Dunno what it will do.
