I dont make mods but I love playing them! I get mods for sins of a solar empire and star wars empire at war mostly, but I also play Garrysmod, If that even counts.......
will this be built into future releases? I hope so
you know what I just noticed? I got bored and was watching the TGN Top 10 RTS games, and one was sins rebellion. They mentioned an active modding community and listed several mods like star Treck, SOTP, and Sins of New Eden! They actually mentioned you guys :D That was September of 13 though lol.
I have seen other mods with multiple people marked as creator, so I assumed there was a way to do it.
As I said, I only played a few early hours as it was close to the holidays and with work and such going on I have been doing other things or playing other games in free time, and I only got several of the first few capships and I just noticed their shields and armor go down MUCH faster than vanilla capships.
I been playing a LOT of different games, bought a 3DS, my first handheld nintendo since the Advance SP, and been playing the pokemon remakes among other things.
Also, when are Lord_Drakoth and Lepaj gonna get the "Creator" tag Haiyooo?
Hey its MassDownloader! Its been a while! What have you been up to lately?
I have played a decent amount and I had no crashes, but that is probably because I LAA'd the sins.exe months ago for other mods.
Gameplay wise, this is rather refreshing. Since I have played so much vanilla, and so many mods I have gotten rather lazy in my gameplay style. Usually sacrifice all early resources for 3 capships (one being colony) and steamroll planets and rapidly grow my empire, building all 16 capships before even one frigate usually. Then fortifying the star and surrounding planets, where no AI fleets can get past me. I usually just put most of the capship abilities on autocast too.
Here you cannot do that. There is much more micro'ing to do, and capships aren't all powerful, and can still die to frigates rather easily. Have not built any major defenses yet, but I can tell already, this is going to be a different experience than most other mods just in the way the capships don't dominate the field and how much more micro management there is to do.
Great progress in just the few weeks you guys picked this up in, its amazing and I can't wait to play more and continue to provide feedback :D
Very nice, adds a lot of atmosphere to bases instead of them just sitting there. Gonna have something like a practice range next to the barracks or something?
I can't recall what planet it was so it probably won't be much help, but I just moved my fleet to a planet as Omega and it just crashed, before I even had a loading screen, just right when they went into the slot above the planet.
know this is late, but honestly, the Colored buttons looked better, made it easier to differentiate between which ones are which. All of them being blue annoys the crap out of me, especially when I know how it used to look. If someone new played it, they probably wouldn't have too much of an issue.
wow, this mod is very unique, this looks awesome.
I rarely use them, as I think it is pointless to destroy planets. Probably been about 2 years since I used one lol. Can the first one not destroy ships?
what is different about the two?
yay! thanks for posting, would not have seen it otherwise.
Great job getting it on steam, it deserves it.
Rhea update is out :D
ooh, sounds nice!
oh, right, well I had put the extracted KOTOE V1 in the mods folder instead of the Knights_of_the_Old_Empire1, I had moved the data folder to the KOTOE V1 folder and deleted the other. Probably would have been simpler to do it the way you said, I was overthinking it.
only gotten to try a few minutes, but I played Knights and I got to mon cal and after killing a few of their capships, the game had an exception crash. Will try more later.
well, nevermind, my computer is just stupid. I changed the KOTOE V1 to KOTOE_V1 and it worked....
anyway, this is going to be fun :D
well, I am trying to get it to work, your last version worked, and all other mods I try work, but for some reason this refuses to launch.
I put the .bat in the corruption folder and for some reason it launches vanilla EAW, not even FOC. then I use the thing in steam where you have to set a mod path and direct it to which mod you want it to use, but that launches normal FOC, even if I move my data folder in the mod from the sub folder to the main folder like other mods, it still launches vanilla.
Any other steam user help me with this?
yay! downloading now! I have the steam version so I can verify if it works or not (old version did, don't know why this one wouldn't)
For some reason Moddb's servers are weird and it says it can take between .5-3hrs to download this -_-
well the base troop is tan, but I could have sworn the upgrade troops were green with the red star on the chest, and I assumed you were changing them all to be this tan color
hmm, for some reason I liked the green better....
They are basically Russia in this setting, that is why they are using Russian flags and such.
This is going to be awesome, can't wait to play it, I would hope it would be done authorizing before I get home from work tomorrow :D
Thought for sure You would have done the Sabaton version of this :p
Personally I had never listened to this song before, but now I am torn between this one and Sabaton's. I like Sabaton's vocals better, but this one has the better guitar and such. Just my opinion, thanks for showing me another song I would have never found lol.
Oh, and nice ship :p strange how I seem to have never seen it until the sins Interregnum mod, now I see it everywhere
been waiting for the space GC release! great work and I can't wait to play.
The AI will actually move now too right?
One of my favorite sins mods, always glad to see progress :D
and what is wrong with their legs?
That bee looks out of place, but I know I have seen it in game before....where will it be used?
Awesome to have all these icons though
very nice. First mod I have seen to change the select screen
