You (or the server) is using an old build of the DLL files. Make sure you're up-to-date.
Update to Beta 2.2+, this version can only be found on the Forums and should be installed after you've updated to Beta 2.2. Beta 2.3 will be coming along and will have the fixes that 2.2+ has.
Ah, you need to update. First install Beta 2.0, then install the 2.1 update.
Beta 2.1 Released
Yeah you can play through the SP levels. Just start up a server and go into console and type: changelevel d1_trainstation_01
Or another level you want.
Sorry about that. I fixed it.
Well, like you said it's preferance. And right now at this point, we had to make some exceptions to visuals, since we are in need of modelers and animators. Also just another point, this mod requires more NPCs on the player's screen than you need on singleplayer since there is more players to help. So it does help to have medium to slightly low quality models.
I can see your points, so just relax. ;>
This model has multiple skins. Stop whining.
Well, not in Beta 1, but in our next release he'll be in there completely.
(And yeah of course we've gotten permission. Just to be clear.)
Thanks for your comments.
But honestly, wait for Beta 2. Seriously.
I have a few things to say in response though.
- first off, there is no need to comment on every single image,
- we are currently in need of modelers and animators,
- "low quality" you say? Maybe so, but not everyone wastes their money on upgrading their computer every 6 months - I currently use 800x600 WITHOUT HDR, I have an ATI Radeon 9600 XT - Valve said it would be ideal for the game, which it was, for the first few months
Also, please try to be a little more supportive and actually download the mod and try it out.
Not sure how it was updated; I didn't touch it.
Um, Beta 2 is what we are working on right now. So just sit tight. ;>
Beta 2 has a bunch of fixes. Beta 1 isn't so hot. lol
I feel the need to reply to this.
First off, please learn how to speak English properly.
Next, yes, those models are conversions. Which means they were converted from other mods, games, etc. Also, if you downloaded the mod, you would notice most of those models were not included in the release. My next point is, the conversion of these models was for you all to see the custom player model feature in effect. For the models that we did include in Synergy, we have recieved permission from the original authors who created the model. If you look and open the file, "Credits.txt" you will clearly and easily see that credits have been given.
And thank you for your comments.
lol Termin, you can't say that just yet. You've only seen Beta 1.
I see servers up right now.
Of course; Synergy will cater to mappers. None of their stuff is being dropped.
It's not like we're tossing Tim's stuff away... That would be stupid.
Not dead? Hm... lol
Big updates. Read on main page.
There shouldn't be any viruses at all. I have absolutely none on my system. I'm a virus-free-freak. :>
Yeah, it's dead. I've left this project entirely. I'm now working on Synergy (Half-Life 2).
We have released a fix for the listenservers. Also read, "First 2006 Update" on the Synergy page.
It is possible that, this message is showing up because the release you have is an old build of the Half-Life 2 dlls. Of course, we'll be entirely sure when the next release comes around.
There are quite a few servers now.
I started working on Synergy for Half-Life 2. So Zombies more or less died. I may continue it, but that is unlikely.
Why does everyone not understand correctly when I say "custom player models"? Ok listen to me, very closely. The custom player model system is like the HALF-LIFE 1 player model system. Players can add and remove models as they please as long as they don't remove or mess up the DEFAULT model. In addition, players can set up specific sounds for their custom models. So NO, those mods you stated have only THEIR default models. I HIGHLY DOUBT that players can add and remove player models in those mods...
Alright people... I just finished the code for custom player models and I think it's safe to say we're the first mod in Half-Life 2/the Source engine to have functional custom player models as well as custom sounds to go with each one of them. Remember the name SYNERGY well. :)
Custom player models are on their way. Hopefully soon. Just have a slight problem with them, that's all.
