They're supposed to be very expensive and very strong. Completely vulnerable to air-to-air attacks though. Of course, whether the AI does that or not...

I honestly want to revamp air more at some point if I can. Vanilla air was extremely underwhelming compared to something like StarCraft...only two air units, obliterated in seconds by the handful of things that could hit them. I'd prefer to see a wider list of diverse aircraft with more counters so that air forces feel like part of an army instead of some extra thing like a bomber strike.

I based that off the appearance of Basilisks in KotOR 2. As for why, I tried using Warb's more traditional Basilisk model at first, but the firing bones aren't in good places for the unit to, well, shoot anything properly. A retextured StarViper model seemed a canon-accurate and effective solution.

Check the most recent news post from IG-88 Rising :) That being said, EMP Rocket Antitroopers are currently recruitable by any faction that owns Kamino.

Neither X1 nor X2 would side with the Insurrection, so neither will be involved. X1 is, however, a planned Imperial Warlord for a future release.

Which GC did you try? The new planets only appear in Origin of Corruption-PvM and PvM Warzone.

According to Falkenhayn, N-K Necrosis is a planned hero for the Droid Revolution in IG-88 Rising.

None of the pop caps are set in stone. That being said, if you would like to change the cap for yourself, look for the appropriate line in Factions.xml or Expansion_Factions.xml.

That was deliberately removed because it breaks the XML script used for the Mandalorian tech system.

Remember that, as an RTS, the game can be easily balanced so that a faction without Force users can combat a faction that does have Force users. Maul's tale is as of yet unfinished, and his criminal contacts were severed at the end of the Clone Wars. Maul would currently be a stretch to add to Black Sun unless the rest of his canon changes.

Gotab would be the best Mandalorian Force user candidate, but there aren't currently any free release models of Mandalorians with lightsabers.

That was done deliberately for gameplay reasons. Petroglyph had the Imperial ships be the only carriers but with weaker fighters than anyone else, and I like that mechanic.

Energy pool? I thought those XML tags were just a dropped feature from earlier production, like political control. That's pretty cool that you got that or a similar mechanic to work for the ion pulse missiles.

For the record, please don't post this as a reply in the future, seeing as this is its own topic.

That being said, yeah, I know what you're talking about. I probably won't do it because the UI isn't designed to work with it, for example, placing specific units in specific spots on the ground map prior to combat.

You mean special structures? Probably not infinite because a single map only has room for so many special structures. As for more than 10, that's probably possible with GUI editing, but I do not know how to do that.

Have you tried a fresh re-install of FoC? You may have extra files around causing issues. Republic at War installs some files to the root directory, for example, and I believe that has caused issues when trying to play other mods.

Seems good so far! I'm not terribly familiar with the intricacies of the alternate world of Man in the High Castle, so I can't offer much feedback there. That being said, perhaps add an event system for territorial disputes between Germany and Japan? It would make a more dynamic world in a mod with only a handful of nations.

Busy and planning. Don't think that just because no updates have been made means that nothing is happening behind the scenes :) in fact, quite a bit is happening. I've decided to go through with implementing PvM's fourth faction early, but that requires many design choices that still need be made. Other than that, I'll be uploading patch 1.02 sometime in the near future.

I've considered it, but I didn't see anything special I could do with them. They'd basically be put in as buffed stormtroopers. As of right now, I have no plans to add the 501st for that reason.

Well, school started for me last week, so I've been busy with that. That being said, progress on PvM has continued; I'm already well on the way to the next patch. What I have to do now is decide what else I want to add. I already have a fourth faction almost entirely planned for 2.0, but I didn't want to add it until the other factions and mechanics were either solidified or well on their way. Still, expect to see more new stuff between now and then, including some new warlords (Teradoc's asteroid VSD hangars seemed like a fun idea) as well as optimizations for ground combat.

This mod has been largely played and tested with the Steam version, so that shouldn't be an issue. Have you tried multiple GCs? If this is only the case in Warzone, it could be due to the expansion patterns of the Empire and Mandalorians, a topic I have been investigating for some time now. If not, it sounds like you may have extra files in your game's base install interfering with PvM's AI. If you experience AI problems in GCs other than PvM Warzone (to confirm the AI isn't working, I would recommend taking a look at the economy and military charts), I'd say back up your mods and completely reinstall the base game.

The main three factions are currently the only playable factions in Pirates vs. Mandalorians. That being said, check out the current news post for information regarding playable anti-troopers :)
