I must be the only guy called mod man who doesn't make mods.
Well, could we see it without downloading it?
That would be helpful.
If you're going to make something like this, at least make it in Gmod and edit in photoshop.
Then delete system 32 off of your computer before uploading it to the internetz.
But the way he says it it makes him sound like he either found custom models in his half-life folder which he thought have never been found before, which is impossible, or, he found them in the gcf file. Either eay these would be the exact opposite of new in every way.
What do you mean by "intresting models in the model file"?
I have to say this screen shot looks horrid.
Very little to do with Counter-strike.
Yes, but both Gmod poses and headcrab zombies have very little to do with Counter-strike media.
It is a hl1 mod. The first version was released before hl2 was out.
No it isn't. But you can find that model on fpsbanana.
Then why don't you, Ramb082?
Name all the PS3 games that are just graphic demos.
'Cause I'd like to know, seeing as I've seen what? Like 3 when the system was first released.
Oh God what have you doooone!?
But it's been around for so many years, and what confuses me is that of all the beta content that's distributed, the Oicw is pretty much the only one I've ever really seen. Nobody really seems to distribute the others.
Why are people STILL distributing this model? I've seen far better AR replacements on fpsbanana.
Sir, are you distributing copyrighted game content to those who may not own it?
Sounds illegal, it does.
Now call me crazy, but wouldn't it be impossible to change the game to black and white like in that picture without first changing every model and texture, then reloading the map you are presently on with everything saved in the exact same place?
Or is this here picture lying?
More so, what is so "advanced" about this?
No, if I remember correctly Valve allows you to port stuff from one of their games to another of theirs so long as it's the same engine. Unless that pistol model does come with the mod, in which case, yes, it would be. Doubt any legal action will take place though.
Though truth be told I have no idea what this mod is about. Half-life's multiplayer with count-strike objectives and weapons? This thing confuses me to no end, which is usually a bad sign. Mods whose descriptions make no logical sense tend to be bad and poorly made/thought out.
Edit: Illegal, has the pistol model. Possibly related, Avast told me malware tried to install as I downloaded. Best flag this, everyone.
Edit 2: VIRUS ALERT! THIS THING CONTAINS A VIRUS. DO NOT BLOODY DOWNLOAD.
I believe it happened because I incorrectly did something.
I'd try to fix this but I'm so incredibly lazy it confuses people.
Smart people no less.
So if it's copied from hl2jbs, why are you credited?
It's not exactly lost, now is it?
What on Earth is going on up there in the description?
Also, that map is clearly fullbright.
You honestly sat down and typed out 9000 key commands, hoping someone wound find the bulk of them useful?
For any given player less than a quarter of these are actually ever going to be used. Ever.
What's with the horrible dutch angel?
The red spy's back is broken.
He also looks dead.
What in the world am I looking at, aside from a crappy pose?
I did answer. It's a blank model that does nothing unless you edit it to.
It doesn't replace anything. He's just decompiled it into a .mdl file and a bmp image. If you want it to replace anything you'll have to do it yourself.
Also, very nice.
No, the mod I'm referring to only used models and textures made for the mod.
There was a mod for Half-life 2 that tried to recreate the Crysis core gameplay, but was canned due to legal reasons.
What makes you think this will get past?
( I know about Black mesa source, but at least you need the source engine to run it, the same engine made by Valve, so they still get some money if you want to play.)
