There is no light in this tunnel.
Are these advantages over a custom built server-client structure? (Ie: you don't have to program them yourself)
Hi, ActionScript 3 has loads of connection possibilities (usually these come with other tools of Adobe but not all). Why rely on a a 3th party server?
At the end of the day, you can't either.
Well the NDAA is more local, so for us non-americans NDAA is a - far from our bed - show.
You would be hard pressed to find a country that is more boss-like than USA.
Maybe if China said something ... ow wait, better not.
As if a petition will change their minds. I guess money is the only thing. The system is corrupt.
Sorry but no. Consider polishing the graphics and maybe use the accelerometer for strafing instead of the buttons.
It's easy to limit the system by using a couple of restrictions:
- line of sight
Amazing, I can not believe this will be the quality of actual in-game models and textures. If everything has this LOD it would look better than BF3!!!
So how does that work for collision detection? Because the plane is paper thin does it have negative effects on 3D collision models? Or do you apply a custom bounding box that has depth.
So is the character a plane? Which cycles a tile-sheet as it's texture?
Make the character move faster, I also think 1 second looks like a long time, judging from the video.
It's coming together rather nicely!
Good stuff! Care to go a bit more in depth about how you get these effects in Blender? A guide to use BGE might be a bit much but just a few tips and tricks you've learned?
Tracking, looks cool!
None, I've had a bit of 3d modeling in class a few years ago. Other than that no special game oriented education.
Whenever I do something for a team it's usually modeling (no texturing).
Concept art is looking promising. Good job so far.
Did they? I remember sneaking up on them/waiting for them to pass. While crouching in some bushes... Maybe I got lucky.
There is no comparison between UDK and Phoenix engine. Agreed this is looking to be an awesome engine but UE can do much MUCH more than Phoenix - at the cost of complexity and compatibility of older features (UE is old...).
Sounds a little predator like but ok! Btw, if a species has advanced space transportation - I highly doubt that they will revert back to hot spikes as ammunition. If they can build advanced spaceships, a "laser" weapon shouldn't be a real problem. (Which would use a variant of the fuel used in the spaceship)
It would look cooler if the light-cubes go on/off at a different rate.
It's just a simple base64 encoded url: Db.tt
Apparently it's a bsp file.
Looks good, maybe make it so that the camera follows the car orientation (smooth).
Correct, it was a desura screenshot. My bad - should have noticed the blue instead of the green. But it doesn't really make any difference.
I'm assuming you know why it was a pain to add new features, and you're avoiding those issues in the new build.
Show it with such leg animation added because it looks really bad.
I remember noticing this project a while back and thinking "ok, cool. I'll wait till it gets usable enough". But like many projects, it got abandoned.
Why stop working on it, what good is it now? Especially if you're going to use it as a portfolio piece.
