So how does that work for collision detection? Because the plane is paper thin does it have negative effects on 3D collision models? Or do you apply a custom bounding box that has depth.

There is no comparison between UDK and Phoenix engine. Agreed this is looking to be an awesome engine but UE can do much MUCH more than Phoenix - at the cost of complexity and compatibility of older features (UE is old...).

Sounds a little predator like but ok! Btw, if a species has advanced space transportation - I highly doubt that they will revert back to hot spikes as ammunition. If they can build advanced spaceships, a "laser" weapon shouldn't be a real problem. (Which would use a variant of the fuel used in the spaceship)

Correct, it was a desura screenshot. My bad - should have noticed the blue instead of the green. But it doesn't really make any difference.

I remember noticing this project a while back and thinking "ok, cool. I'll wait till it gets usable enough". But like many projects, it got abandoned.

Why stop working on it, what good is it now? Especially if you're going to use it as a portfolio piece.
