Hey Alex! My game hasn't been greenlit yet, it still needs more votes. Hopefully it will be one day soon. As for Steam keys, I don't exacly know how that works. From my interactios with other developers, it seems as if you're able to generate a key, but I don't actually know. But, assuming it is something that is within my power, yes, I would happily give out a Steam key to anyone who owned the game already on Desura.

Hey TimeBomb, thanks for the feedback! I'm really glad to see you're enjoying the game. Yes, the game is still in active development. I've been working on this game a long, long time, and have no intentions of ever stopping until it's complete. Unfortunately, a few life things have gotten in the way which have put this lower on my priority list than I would like, but there's not a day that goes by that I don't think about this game.

Thanks again!

Yes, if you purchase the game now you will get all the updates at no additional cost, including when it is 100% complete. Essentially, you're buying the game, and just getting to play it before its completely done.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm really glad you're enjoying the game. I'm working on updates, but it's slow going, since I'm mainly focused on the level editor now. Hope to have more for everyone soon!

Sadly, the Unity version now means the Xbox version is out of the question - or at the very least, very low priority. But yes, Unity 4 will have Linux support, and the minute it does, I'll be sure to publish a Linux version.

I just got done putting together a demo, and I have submitted it to Desura, so it should show up once it gets through their system. It's still Windows only, but hopefully you'll have an idea of how it plays!

1.) Yes. I finally sat down and made a quick demo of the game using the first level of the alpha stages. I've submitted it to Desura, so it should come up soon.
2.) It takes me around thirty minutes to get through what I have up in the alpha, but that's with almost no dying (I've played my own game a lot; I'm pretty good at it). Of the game's planned size, I'd say that's about 20% done or so, so extending that out, I'd guess around three hours for me to finish once it's done. For comparison, I'd say about the length of VVVVVV, maybe a little bit longer.
3.) Technically speaking, the composer - Jimmy Hinson - retains all rights to his music as part of our agreement, so it's up to him whether or not the soundtrack will be sold alongside the game. I can talk to him about it though.

I know about Mono, and I had originally planned on using it to port the game. However, after about a day of working with Unity, a lot of other advantages became clear to me as to why a switch would be worth the extra work.

Glad to hear you're eager for the game. I plan on writing an update in the near future, but unfortunately, that update won't contain any new levels I've created. I've been focusing a lot on the level editor recently, and trying to get it up to speed.

I plan on having a demo eventually, though that may be closer to the game's full release. I'd rather spend the moment working on the core game first. But I'll certainly let you know if I release a demo.

I do understand that a number of people will feel that $10 is too much. However, I most certainly think my game is worth that amount, and I only hope to prove it to everyone as the alpha goes on.

Actually, no! I've never read any of the discworld books. The logic naming Mort simply comes from the fact that it's the Latin root for Death. It seems I'm not the only person to go that route.

I wasn't the least bit offended! I fully understand that $10 may be asking a bit much for this game, and some people won't feel like it's worth that amount. It's always difficult to find a good price to put your game at, and I personally think it's worth the $10 (or $7 for now), but I know that there will be a lot of people who won't think it is. They are well within their right!

I had to look up your reference, and it made me realize that I am way overdue in playing Planescape: Torment!

I plan on the game being 30% off for the duration of the alpha funding. I want to reward my alpha funders, as you've mentioned.

The grappling hook is the core mechanic, but what changes it how it interacts with the environment. For instance - and you can see this in the alpha trailer - one grapple point gives the player the ability to double jump briefly. I plan on having several different things like that in the course of the game.

The game isn't exactly divided up into levels, per se. Think like VVVVVV. You get to explore freely. However, I have planned roughly eight "areas" to explore, along with extra hard levels to be unlocked after you beat the game.

I do plan on releasing a level editor, though that will likely be after the game's release. I want people to be able to make their own levels, and I may even include some of the best user levels in the game in future updates.

No DLC, though I do plan on updating the game with new levels every now and then. All updates will be 100% free though.

No online scoreboards are currently planned, but I can certainly look into it.

As for music, it is being done by Jimmy Hinson, aka BigGiantCircles. He was a co-composer on Mass Effect 2, and has done music for a number of indie titles, including Pax 10 2012 finalist PuzzleJuice.

Let me know if you have any more questions!
