I've finished reading the last chapters of the Elfen Lied manga (again). The plot has a respectable depth to it and the events depicted were very tragic and touching. I remembered crying (yes, crying, I'm 17 years old now and I can still cry :D) like a 3 year old kid every time I go through this manga pack. I wish the anime series was this good, after all it was quite disappointing to see it end so abruptly and blandly.
Gonna read this again someday (and cry, too)...

Well nice to see someone who also thinks the adaptation to anime could of been better but it was rather limited in its storytelling due to the 13 episode budget. Maybe if it had a larger episode count (24-26 range) things could of been more indepth and tell alot more of the story.
I agree. The anime was greatly compressed because they decided to wrap it up even before the manga was finished. If it were to stick to the original story it'd probably take 30-40 episodes, due to the anime only follow up to about a third of the manga plot.
Ah its been a few years since I last reread the manga to remember it had that much content.
Also who didnt cry to clannad ;3
I've never really seen or play Clannad. I've seen my sister playing Afterstory though.
