All, please note, I have had reports that the mod crashes when run under Windows XP. If you experience a crash, please report it using the Bug Tracker tool on our forum over at gtaknightrider.co.uk
Two questions, which version of the mod are you using, and what is your Operating System?
Read the description, it's just a re-release of 0.2b in a new style installer.
It does however include fixes for the scanners.
Yes, there will be 3 versions. Actually that's a stock SA engine sound.
They WILL have their correct voices, the KARR shown in the video was KARR from the beginning of KITT VS KARR, before he changed his appearance. And no, that is not ki3t's engine sound.
No, Knight Research has no connection with this mod. We did speak to them about the possibility of merging the two mods together, however they were not interested in doing that. For some reason 1 or 2 of their team completely hate us. So to answer your question, this mod is being made by the GTA Knight Rider team, and NOT by Knight Research. There will be a re-release of 0.2b within the next week featuring an updated installer which is SA V2 friendly. We are currently working on new features for the mod, which will be made available via source code releases.
@AdjudantReflex, does this quick video answer your question? :-P S444.photobucket.com
On another note, we have a new style installer which will be released within the next week, I would suggest waiting for that if you are having issues using the current release of 0.2b.
@AdjudantReflex, we are bringing the site back, but are still making some tweaks to the site. Fingers crossed the updated site will go live at some point this week.
It's what was causing the problem for me, I changed UP/DOWN_LIGHTS=2 to UP/DOWN_LIGHTS=3 and it stopped the crashing.
Erm, just to clarify, I'm part of Knight Industries Modding, NOT Knight Research.
Ahem, I have to agree with Knightprowl, if you use code from other peoples mods without their permission, then it is quite easy to get a mod taken down.
Word to the wise, I would be careful that anything you release does not contain anyone elses code but your own.
@Ketchup2o yes the mod is coming back, the original author has passed it on to me to work on. I plan on making a few changes to it, I will announce the new structure for the mod once I have completed the revamp of the website/forums.
Car and speedo stolen from our bttf mod too, will be reporting this.
You can't load old save games with the mod installed.
I wouldn't expect it until summer next year at the earliest.
Unfortunately not no, this will remain a mod. We just don't have the time to develop it from scratch.
Of course there will be.
Just so you know, all uploaded files are personally checked by Moddb staff to ensure they do not contain any viruses, before being authorised for regular members to download.
To hook up the part III railroad DeLorean to the train you press the same button you use to change the part II DeLorean into hover mode.
Doc's truck cannot be opened in 0.2e
A long way from release, don't expect it until some point next year.
My music collection ;-)
It's already on YouTube:

In the final version all of Hill Valley will change.
It says what the difference is in the first sentence in the latest news post....
It's inside the big folder marked BTTF_ReadMe ;)
Original setup file + all updates made into 1 installer.
Lots of them. Remember, 1955 Courthouse Square is being completely redone, and so far only 1 side of the street has been completed. There are 3 more streets to model yet.
That file is for internal use only. 0.2f is a long way from being finished, so don't expect it until next year.
You are correct, the x denotes a specific 0.2 version. Also as has been publicly posted on our website, 0.2f will be the last of the 0.2x series of the mod. Once 0.2f has been released we will be concentrating our efforts on completing 0.3 which will include the entire 1955 Hill Valley map - though don't expect 0.3 to come for a few years, sadly, modelling takes a long time.
