This game came back from the dead in a great way. Hated this game for the longest time and uninstalled it. Loving the new update so far with about 7-8 hours in the last couple of days. Nice work!

Thanks for writing this kind of behind the scenes stuff. I'm dumb as a stump but fascinated with how smart you guys/girls are and good info for gamers who have no idea what goes into making a game. Now get this thing kickstarted!!

Such an amazingly well done game so far. Everyone has cool ideas, but not everyone can turn those ideas into a fun game. I really, really want to preorder, kickstart, early access, give you some money for this game. Looks like Rawbots (minus the complexity of visual programming) plus open world exploration and mining plus vehicle sim and combat in a nice fun package (oh and some Captain Forever). This has just become my #1 game to look forward to.

WOW. That's it, just WOW. The only bug I found so far is I can't see the buy button anywhere. Please fix this very serious bug :)

I always wanted a great excavator game and this could be the one. Hope your game turns out fantastic and you make some serious $$. Just hope it isn't too small of a market, although games like Farming Simulator 2013, Euro Truck Sim 2, Space Engineers (sorta) are great examples of sims that have enjoyed a lot of success recently.

My only suggestion would be streamline those controls. Look at the above games and Minecraft for great controls that are so intuitive you don't even have to think about the keys you are pressing but instead thinking what do I want to do and your fingers know the keys to press. They are deceptively simple controls that allow pretty complex things to happen in the game, so very young people can play and more experienced people can still be challenged by the gameplay and not bad controls.

And looking at your joystick controls, getting a 360 controller to work with that scheme - there are probably millions of PC gamers with that controller but maybe not 2 joysticks to hook up to their computer. Perfect those controls and you have a lot of people interested.

Nice :) The 360 and PS3 controllers have 2 joysticks already (as well as many 3rd party gamepads). Why not just let your controls use those? I would only advise to have solid controls. Controls make or break a game. If they don't feel right to you, they won't feel right to us the gamers.

Looks amazing. I will probably buy an Oculus Rift like millions of others, but please keep it playable on a normal screen. Everyone is super-hyped about the Oculus Rift and we don't even have a consumer model yet and have no idea how long you can game with the thing on and if people will suffer from nausea, dizziness, vertigo, etc. I'm kinda wary of it until we see a lot of people using it. Hate seeing so many developers jumping 100% to the OR and that represents currently a fraction of 1% of the gaming population (50,000 dev kits out there right now). It looks like a cool device, but the thing could fail in the marketplace. We don't know yet and kinda early to put all your eggs in the OR basket.

I want this game though, multiple copies if it is coop multiplayer. Looks fantastic. Maybe support TrackIR also - every serious flight simmer has one of those.

OMG - I built a new computer and just spent an hour in a frenzy trying to remember this game. I have hundreds of games across all the different digital services and this is the one that got me really worried. Get on steam already so I can just add this to my list of favorites!!

Without this game I am not a gamer.

I honestly hope it is never finished. It just gets more and more stuff instead of just stopping and I don't have to pay any more money for the additional stuff!

The amount of work in the game is so enormous. Just this one update and all the animations and physics stuff he had to add/change may be more work than some little indie games have in the whole game. And this is just one single update. I think there have been over 100 updates now with new stuff. Love it!

Does being super smart make your brain hurt? I want to keep posting non-stop my love for this game but that would be like stalking. Thank you for being born!!

I still refuse to believe one person made this game (not counting the music). The only way that is even remotely possible is if you are a siamese quintuplet.

Gotta say I like it so far. A couple of things that I think could improve it a lot -

- Camera in driver's seat. It's hard/impossible to see where the forks are located without switching to the outside view. Maybe have the driver's head move to the side (see Forklift Truck Simulator 2009 youtube vids) and still face forward but able to move up and down to get a clear view of the forks.

- Make the keys rebindable. WASD for driving with the left hand and operate the forks on current keys is fine, but being able to bind them to other keys is ideal. Xbox controller support would be the absolute best because it's hard to control the speed and turning sharply causes the forklift to overturn.

- I really like the physics, but they could use some fine tuning, specifically the truck turning over on sharp turns and the barrels on a pallet is a little wonky. Maybe dampen them a bit.

- When hitting exit, the game never shuts down. Instead, it takes me to your web page. Big No-No. Maybe a screen that tells where your web page is located and even a button to take me there, but shouldn't automatically open up a browser window to your website. I had to exit the game finally by hitting the "X" in the corner of the window. If I like your game I will surely visit your site, but getting redirected there is not nice.

The game is really good. It could be excellent with a few changes/polishing.

Awesome, awesome game. There is no way this uses the Unity engine. The world is too huge, too many AI flying around, the FPS is through the roof, the controls aren't lagging and horrible, my GPU isn't ready to melt, and the game is so fun.

10/10 - Shut up and buy this game.

I might be the only one here that loves forklifts, back hoes, excavators, etc. I wish more (good) games like this were on PC. Some of those German sims try but just aren't that fun. Farming Simulator and Euro Truck Sim 2 are the kings of this genre.

I'll be buying this game on release.

Love the size of blocks in the asteroids and the ships. The big green blocks are too big maybe?? You could carve out some pretty cool stuff if those blocks were small like the asteroids. This could turn into a big art canvas for some people.

Are there sounds in the game yet? The game looks so great and I bought it a long time ago, but I can't get past the silence to try to play it. It drives me crazy :/

This is a strange name for a game and I have been avoiding clicking on it. The name enamel just reminds me of tooth enamel or the enamel on toilet bowls. Sorry, but it's the truth. :/

Just played a little bit. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE me some hoverboards!! Nice job as usual Phr00t. It's great looking around while moving in whatever direction the board is moving and changing direction with the hook or steering - Perfect.

I love great controls in games. Minecraft has that same quality of making ordinarily difficult tasks (in other games) super easy because of great controls. If you have to stop and think about what buttons to press then you lose the immersion. Gameplay and great controls > graphics all day, every day.

Any brave souls buy this yet and can give us some impressions?

This looks and plays A++. Read the stuff on your website and good for you not using Unity or UE3 to make your game (although you started in 2007, so not sure what was around at the time). Too many half-a** games coming out that the great ones are getting lost in the crowd.

I personally am looking forward to your game and can't wait for you to start taking orders. If people take just a few minutes to look at your game I think they will see the hard work and quality you put into your game. The problem is getting them to stop long enough to really look at it and not dismiss it as just another . . .

I hope your game does really well. We need more high quality games like this. You are truly an indie developer!

Just had to say - The effects in your game are amazing. The explosions and the smoke swirling. Love the little guys you have to save and the way the landing gear deploys and seems to have a little suspension. Fantastic work.

Can you actually drive around with the crane? That would be very fun. You could even have a mini-game moving crates from one area to another with a truck crane like that.

Looks great! The devs of Project Zomboid lost a bunch of their work when they had 2 laptops stolen early in development. BACK UP every time! (please, because this looks so great).

I need to check myself for online backup for documents in case of a hard drive failure. I picked up an external 750 GB drive for around $60 last Christmas just to back up steam games to avoid 2 months of downloading if one of our computers fails.

Thanks for this. I read your writeup on reddit about dungeon generation. It's really cool seeing how games are built and work. I wish I was smart enough to make games because stuff like this is such a great resource.
