Anime fan boy hailing from cloudy and rainy England and long standing gamer since the PS1. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, I still hold the dear old PC nearest to my heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPG's and RTS's are my daily bread, but I enjoy almost every other genre, predominately; Racing Simulators, Action, Horror and Sandbox games. I'm also one of the few surviving fans of the Arcade Flight Simulator genre on Strangereal.

How to texture:

-Draw/color the texture, use the template.jpg that the game kindly provides. Use Photoshop or Gimp.

-Save as .dds, you're gonna need to download a plugin depending on what you're using. Photoshop one is here:(https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-adobe-photoshop) and GIMP one is here:(https://code.google.com/p/gimp-dds/).

-Export as [Name of your texture].dds, select 'DXT1' in the compression options.

-Open any of the skin files (with the .skin extension) of the aircraft you're retexturing, change what's in "quotes" and leave what's in ((brackets)) alone.

No idea when the campaign will have radio chatter and cutscenes, but I do know that the missions themselves are getting improved.

As for tunnels chases etc. No idea.

The Dreamer Aces in mission 4 are meant to be to be immortal so you can battle them later on in the campaign.

By the looks of things, VT may be released on the 21st of August (Just my guess though I may be wrong). The A.I. has so far two versions "Gunt" and "Ace" (Grunt is your standard Ace Combat AI), there is also a AI difficulty multiplier from 0-25, and from what I've seen playing the game the AI adapts and panics to your play style.

The flares, chaff and smoke are in game and useable but they appear to be just visual effects for now, I don't think the mechanics are active just yet.

Iceberg Interactive are at Gamescom Cologne busy showing off a bunch of the games they publish etc. So expect VT to go on sale after Gamescom has finished (don't take my word for it though). And there was a trailer of some sort showing aircraft apparently.

By the looks of things Pixel Shader 2.0 is still the minimum for compatibility reasons. And anything higher than DirectX 9 is recommended.

Well I've been testing the pre-Early Access build with a laptop with the following specs: Intel i3 @1.8ghz with an integrated Intel 4000HD, 8GB RAM, on 64-bit Windows 8.1U1 and you need at least 3GB of free HDD/SDD space.

My guess on the EA pricing will probably be around £10-15.
