Star Trek. Is. Amazing.

J.J. Abrams pretty much took the original series, added a crap load of action and technology and made it as good as the original.
Also: LOL@Chief Engineer Olsen.

After experiencing many a problem in Windows Vista (and it was probably my favorite 64 bit OS from microsoft yet...) such as partition errors caused by the partition my files were on (not my dedicated windows partition) and a random WINDOWS - NO DISK error that's caused by a mundane amount of reasons, I've decided to run totally on ubuntu.

Its much easier to do everything, from taking pictures of your desktop or even videos to having dynamic backgrounds that change on a time (I love you wallpaper tray). My only gripe of course is the lack of developer (atleast video card and game developers) support on this exquisite operating system (ubuntu to be exact). The new notification system is rad as well.

Developing applications should be easier as well, since I won't need to bother with .NET and can use things like Gtk and Qt. Now I just need to finish learning C...

I'm still a junior so you can probably understand my frustration at not having many skills. I've halted any attempt to learn how to model (I'm going to be taking a CAD course next year to help with that) and I've been bored out of mind recently due to not having anything new or exciting to play (except with the new L4D update... minus the SDK...). Thankfully my friend Mr.E is an MMO nut and has a clan that likes to test (and perhaps one day find) good MMOs, and just so happened to ask me to code him a site for said clan.

Just a barebones site atm, but I'm going to be using the new dreamweaver... and I must say that all of the CS4 programs are impressive over past versions. The UI is clean and doesn't use the default windows UI, no more "_copy.jpg" in photoshop images, and its fast (64 bit versions, uses GPU, etc).

Yay new design for moddb, and new phatform from which to look at it from. Decided to install Ubuntu over my vista install. very great OS - Too bad it suffers like all 64 bit OS.... no formal support from companies!
