Let's face it, I'm amazing and that's all you need to know.
I also run an entertainment website (www.PocketSizedAnimations.com)which includes web comics, video games, tutorials, and more random things.
"While you will be able to discern one object from another, a motionless diver could be wedged in a nearby rock crevice, and you might not know." makes it sound like you'll have generally blurry vision, but enough so you won't run into walls. Then you just use motion tracking to find the enemy.
I could be wrong, but this sounds like you'll generally have a gray blurry vision, and then when some one moves they sort of lightup. So, if some one memorizes the map (which happens just from playing on the human side a lot) wouldn't it be too easy for them as the sharks to know all the possible hiding spots and just basically check to see if there is a blur in that hiding spot or not?
We appologize for this. For the time being there is no advantage for us to host a server due to the style of the mod, with the mod being a 5 player max cooperative game and the game being in it's early stages we have to leave it to the players to host small listen games with their friends in order to play multiplayer.
After some more major releases, where the mod has a lot to enjoy a dedicated server from us is to be expected.
Glad to of been able to help.
I'm not the coder for this, so I'll have to double check with him when I see him next. However; I remember having this conversation with him a while back, and I believe the fix was increasing the FOV for that weapon.
As far as I remember, since I had the weapon animated to move backwards into the screen, it would disapear too early and look really bad. I am almost 100% positive the Field of View (FOV) number changed it.
Well that's the next objective on my list to get in and working properly, so very hopefully pretty soon if all goes well. I already have a basic model done with, it just needs detailed and textured. Then any changes we want to do depending on what's liked/disliked.
It's waiting to be authorized. Sorry for the wait, not sure why it's taking so long. Moddb must be busy with the weekend, hopefully it'll be added soon.
I'm not entirely sure if that's what he meant. What Kyben just gave you is of the music that plays in the vent room when the action starts. And it was custom made by our Sound Engineer Mark/MadMax.
If you're talking about the video on our page, that's Nirvana - You Know You're Right.
If there is some other kind of music you're talking about, you might have to be more specific :P
Make sure you installed your mod in the correct folder. They must go into My Documents/My Games/Unreal Tournament or else tehy won't create files properly on your first load of the game causing issues such as not being able to reload.
Otherwise check out this document see if it helps
Yes you can, however currently there is no official server setup so finding a server to play with others is a bit of a hit and miss. But if you can find some one to play with (it's what friends are for!) you can easily play it multiplayer.
If you wish to play spitscreen, there is a bit of work that has to be done as it hasn't been setup properly yet to make it easy to use splitscreen.
Please make suer your game is installed in the correct path, unlike UT2k4 mods DO NOT go in the same install area as Unreal. It must be placed in My Documents/My Games/Unreal Tournament 3
Sorry, the "back" button was actually what I was talking about. When you hit "back" you'll notice a slight pause in the screen switching, this is probably due to it saving your input edits.
Anyways; we seemed to have fixed the reloading issue if anyone needs to fix it, please make sure your mod installed in the right path. It goes into My Documents/My Games/Unreal Tournament 3. It must go there. Otherwise it won't work.
Sure thing =D
Also cute and fluffy!!!!
You need to setup your texture to have a transparent material.
Try this, this should fix your issue.
Make sure that you hit "Accept" after you set your bind, THEN make sure to hit ACCEPT again on the other screen, or else your binds will not stay.
If you hit Accept, then hit ESC on your keyboard without hitting accept on the other page, it'll erase your binds. Please try this.
Glad you liked it, we're hoping to improve it with each update we release. Look forward to see what you think of the next build.
Hey, thanks. Alan Wake looks sweet.
Is that a good thing?
You may have to load the game up, then go into the settings menu while in-game and bind your reload key. Make sure that you actually apply the settings in all the menus, sometimes you can set it, hit okay, then hit ESC without applying and it won't set the bind.
When you come into the vent room, straight to your right there is some stairs, as soon as you get to the top and turn around you should see a panel with a bunch of gears/wheels and jazz, that's the fans. You should even see "FANS" written somewhere.
After you activate the power, just go back there and use the panel. Sometimes it takes a few clicks or a little bit of a wait before you can click the panel though, it's a little odd sometimes.
If it freezes everytime you try and right click it, try making your own shortcut. Right-Click Empty Space on Desktop > New > Shortcut. A new window will pop up asking you for the target, browse for your UT3.exe then type in -mod=..\BSMod at the VERY end of it.
So in the end your target should come out to say
"D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\unreal tournament 3\Binaries\UT3.exe" -mod=..BSMod
That's my shortcut, as it runs into my steam and I have all my games installed on a D: drive. And there you go, brand new shortcut to the game.
Sorry about that, registration was disabled and re-enabled a long time ago. The thread just was never delete, it is now.
However; if you're having issues signing up let us know.
Installation instructions here
But generally, you want to put them in your My Documents > My Games > Unreal Tournament 3 folder.
Did Corey give you a previous build at any point? If so, might fix your issue if you completely delete the BSmod folder then install the new one. We've had a few issues in the past from not deleting the old folder.
Also, not to be a smart ***. But BS keybinds are at the very bottom of all the keybinds :P.
It's actually a UT3 configuration. All weapons are by default set to the right side of the game, however I have to hold my weapons using the left side in real life, so I tend to change my options to the left side.
Things will vary actually, some maps will be slightly linear and a move from point to point style, others will consist of holding certain spots/areas, and then there will also be some more free-roaming style maps. Some linear maps will also consist of alternative pathing.
Hey! Just wanted to give you a thumbs up on the progress. The help you gave me previosuly on the AnimTree has given me a lot of knowledge about it. I'm slowly getting into creating some custom monsters and setting up their AnimTree. Can't wait to get into it!
Oh we're progressing through, and I'm hoping to be able to start showing off the beasts in the coming months if all goes well. But I really want to get a lot of work done on them before I show them off, it's sort of an ice breaker if the monsters don't look scary enough.
No, you may be confusing us with the HL2 mod "Black Mesa".
We've always been on the UT3 engine.
