I'll probably save your life one day...
Sex sex sex. Maybe a colour evalutation of the HUD is in order, but apart from that, top job, folks. Where did the brain thingme go though?
Such an amazing game. Buggy to the point of almost unplayable, but freaking amazing. It crashed so many times, but I soldiered on to completion. Fantastic stuff.
Amen for Australia Day! Imma go get trashed now. :D
^^Ugh, by the nine!
Still, fantastic comp, and might be the kick in the arse I need to get working on BloodSport some more.
fortnight sounds good =)
OMFG! Motion Blur, Depth of Field, Bloom and everything all run in GMod just fine! Also, Reality Engine and plenty of other engines have had it for years. Also, these guys are using Torque Shader Engine, not Torque Game Engine, which means a lot of the effects are either already in there, or easily done through avaliable tutorials. Don't get too excited guys.
Nuclear Dawn looks awesome. Congratulations on being appointed PR dude.
Like Chiyo-chan, right? Man, I love Azumanga Daioh! Except it's horrible in English.
About your sig, eh, do you have a lot of time when playing Natural Selection, because all I seem able to get in over chat is things like "movement chamber online" and "defend SS hive". I'm always munching on marine!XD
This looks muchly cool-like. You have my sword, and my mod watch!
Woohoo! Sounds like it will be a good show.
Nice idea, and great PR and advertising.
To have true film noir style, this will have to be in black and white. Thankfully this is easy with the Source engine.
I sent that email.
First rocket launcher vote. An underused weapon. Too much fun, too much trick jumping goodness.
Another winner. Is that dynamic shadowing? Wraiyth, is it?
Congratulations to the winners. Glad I didn't enter, I would've been served up on a silver platter.
Good work. Looks like an interesting mod.
Bioshock. It's where the smart money's at.
First watch, mofos.
Ground texture is awful, no offense, but apart from that, it looks nice.
Dude, I'm not the guy who runs the mod, I'm just a forum moderator. Try finding the people who run the mod.
We don't want it filling up with non moddb community members. When we didn't have a password for a couple of days, the server was full of people who we had no idea about, this way it's not 10% full 100% of the time, making it just another pub.
I did say Team Fortress Classic. But then I'd have to admit I've never played Team Fortress. Anyone jumped in yet?
Consider yourself watched.
SinKing, I think 2009 is their estimate. :P
What happened? I haven't been playing.
PVK has pirates. PVK, damnit!!! Sounds interesting.
Don't believe in Christ. They're still changing the game over, it'll be there soon. Don't worry, I'm on top of this, I'll give you the details as soon as they become important.
You know setunitpos(x,y)? You're like a god to me!
The Gyanon Sexbows more like. :D
Indeed. Here's a link to the thread that brought this on us. Everyone thank Grobi and GameServers.com :D.
The server is in California, USA. :P
Oh just fricking sweet! I still love you, Sven. You too, SvenViking.
Yay, fruit life. Well, it takes all sorts, even Hammy.
Yay! Reinforces Aenea's sentiments.
Lovely Hope is Emo reference there. Also, just funny.
Good luck getting out there guys. Look forward to being able to buy The Ball.
this looks great! best of luck to you guys.
Looks good, I hope for some interesting gameplay.
Raid effect looks absolutely mad. Is it possible for you guys to get textures like on that ship procedurally, later down the track?
Very Max Payne.
Nice going as usual.
Lots of pretty pictures.
I look forward to seeing what Natural Selection 2 can deliver.
Why don't you try it and find out? I didn't like a lot of things in Obsidian Conflict, and another of a good breed can't do any damage.
Very nice concept!
See if you can make the texture draw itself procedurally, rather than create the texture procedurally. Then, you could eliminate the crosshatch looking bumpmap. Apart from that, it looks hot though.
Good going, GR team.
This may have just been what I was looking for! Way to go!
Looking very hot.
This obviously serves to only make more "hot 'n' bothered" for NightFall.
Custom NPC wielding a custom weapon, methinks. :O
Well posted. I like the way you think. Jaded? Sure, but absolutely right.
Not too shabby at all. I just wish we shipped bean chairs to Australia though. :P
You'd be the dude that cracked, it nay? That was actually a decent puzzle. Good job, Freelancer CE team.
Always good timing like that. Anyway, congrats, shee.
Great tutorials Aza!XD
This isn't a repost, it's 100% original, but I guess the screenshots have been used in articles about them before, as they are the best screenshots they have.
WIN! First Australian download.XD I doubt they'll be any Australian servers then..
Excellent concept pieces.
Nice job. The block animation seems little bit strange though.
Kick-***! Downloading now!
Methink. This looks awesome.
Looking amazing. Some great media in that video.
What, no Australian mirror? Me not happy about ModDB!XD
Amazing. Simply amazing. 2.5D is still a very viable set-up.
Cheers, I think I read something about Fyght Club, in one of Vince's posts. That's cool, I can hack that if you guys already have beta under control. Just so you know, pretty much everyone at ModDB that is interested in your work is damn impressed, and all of my friends that are interested in Half-Life 2 mods and modding are eagerly awaiting more information/release of Iron Grip: The Oppression. I for one, can't wait.
As usual, I love the textures. I welcome the art redo, and methinks the mod will be better for it.
Got me interested enough.
Looking great! It would be nice to see your images in your ModDB image gallery. If you don't have the time, I'm sure you can find someone around here who would be willing to chuck the images in there for you.
 Well, don't worry about it.
Yeah, I quite like it!
Looking great! You've craptures the b-movie feel very well indeed.
Looking good. Good news on the Mac version, though I wouldn't download it with a ten foot pole. XD
Looking mega hot.
Omni, me too. Though I was sold a while back. Looks great.
You win. You get my modwatch, but don't think I'm not angry. Perfect Dark Source looks hot, by the way - and I don't normally like game remakes. Especially nearly recent games on Half-Life 2.XD
Meh, I look better in a suit and tie.XD
Looking very heavy and very, very hot. Nice design, nice model.
Gotta love INtense! aswell.:D
This looks amazing. Well done on a job well done.
Good going. I'm one manning on a project as well. Only I get really imbued productivity.
I don't see why it would be a fake. Also, it looks and sounds fantastic.
Good going. This seems awesome. I'm downloading now.
I'd love to see this with a skin. Anyway, fantastic model.
Soldat rocks so much. I do love it. I might just have to get this baby. Nice going!XD
Right, so you guys wrote your own renderer on top of the Unreal Engine? That's pretty amazing. I wrote my own renderer once. I could render terrain okay, but as soon as I had to implement a detail map, it got too much :D.
Anyway, you guys are doing an awesome job. I look forward to seeing to end product.
BortherLaz, simply because the majority of forum goers disagreed with your ethic on game design, doesn't mean that you are a bad loser or anything like that. In retrospect, many of the comments made were out of line, but it's a heated topic for many of us.
Personally, I think that your mod looks really, really freaking cool, and once I find my D2 discs, I'm getting this one.
As always, amazing. You guys look like you've hit both the steampunk nail and the awesome RTS/FPS nail right on the head. Well done OmeVince and team. Bloody cool!
I haven't yet had a chance to view the video, but it sounds as cold as anti-hell!!!
Wow. As usual, I am a huge fan of Infinity. I can't wait to see some footage of inside the station, or docking.
It looks very, very awesome. I expect that it will be another definative mod for Max Payne 2 (along with Hall of Mirrors). The graphic novel art look absolutely amazing.
You are the Q2 and the tutorial king.
"I'm going to get into this Hind now."
"Yo Snake! Check it, go sneak that ****!"
Looking fantastic. It's also good that you guys have don't seem to be forcing Vash to become a bloodthirsty killer, which is a good thing. That means you're doing everything right. So...
It's for Renegade, of course it is. At least it isn't a Half-Life 2 mod with nice unskinned renders.
Yeah, really quite cool.
I think TO: Crossfire seems to be a decent mod, but maybe not worth it if all of your friends play Counter-Strike and you are wanting something new? :D Good writeup.
This looks awesome. Great pick Joe!
Nice map, a bit clustered though. Still, looks fun to play.
Nice going one the media smogasboard. Looking forward to a release.
Well done again guys. I like the idea of unleaded zepplins.
Yay! Hammy-Bob is a celebration of culture. 3.1337 is a particularly elite number. Woot!!!!
As mod leader, you should. Got design document?
Nice going. Looks to be an awesome game.
Yeah, thanks for that excellent reference.
Well done on another excellent update. Iron Grip looks to be fantastic.
Very nice looking work. Perhaps the only let down are the trees in the map screenie, though getting that many trees running on Source is commendable in itself, and they still don't look half bad.
I'll give you Ambrosia if you give me a hug...
I think the augmentations should be more extreme. if you look at the classic shot, he is more machine than man, and in the new one, while he undoubtedly better looking, there is just too much skin.
Yeah. Looks nice though. I love Fallout.
Woot for an awesome single player mod!
I am happy.
I think I would like the setting you are preposing. I am sick of two things in Fantasy RPGSs. Desert is one, unrealistic NPCs is another. If you need design help, give me a buzz.
I guess that "imporoving" your "grammer" would make your hole story much more appealing.
Nice name, but I do have one message. Be careful. Do not give any more detail to the Gman. There already is a follow up the the Half-Life story, and that is Half-Life 2, which states that Gordon has been in temporal stasis for 8 years.
Just a warning. If you meddle with the Half-Life 1/2 story, people are going to get angry.
Love the name though, and good luck with the mod.
Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best, as we see here. Skill rather than über weapons. Kudos.
I've stolen every bit of code that was ever written and blended it together to make the slowest running Doom remake on Source.
No, seriously - I use tutorials a twatload. I tend to code everything myself, or download source code from the tutorials and edit it for my needs.
I've always had experimental game ideas, but the fact is I don't have the time or dedication to put these into reality. I've written up a couple of concept documents recently for a 1920's ganster adventure game with a shakespearian story and dialogue. I aslo did one for a 1920's (again) detective game, but I decided about that that I would just mod the The Ship when it comes out.
