Hozzatennem, hogy a Diaspora egy total conversion. Vagyis semmi mast nem hasznalunk, mint az FS2 SCP forraskodot. Minden mast mi csinalunk. Tehat ez egy standalone jatek. Letoltod, oszt megy, nem kell hozza semmi. Ugy dontottunk, hogy nem adunk ki Demo-t, viszont nem is allunk neki dolgozni egy soha el nem keszulo gigantikus jatekon. Inkabb a ketto kozotti optimumot valasztottuk, vagyis rovid, 4-6 kuldeteses epizodokat adunk ki, amikben egyre ujabb es ujabb hajokat adunk ki. Release 1 mar eleg kozel van, szerintem iden nyaron valamikor kiadhato.

Udv! Koszonom a meghivast! Nagyjabol 10 eve (pontosabban amiota letezik) Freespace2-re modolok. 2 evvel ezelottig a Beyond the Red Line csapatban dolgoztam egeszen addig, mig Omniscapernek messzire nem gurult a gyogyszere, es nem kepzelte be maganak, hogy mindenkit csicskaztathat maga korul. Akkor a banda follazadt (szo szerint), kileptunk (ugy huszan), es otthagytuk Omni-t meg a hadnagyat, had folytassak a fejlesztest kettecsken. Azota Diaspora neven mukodunk.

I mostly used poly lines and poly shapes, the objects were forged in the lofter. When a shape was satisfactory, I converted it to editable poly, and played with the surface. Lotsa bevel and extrude. Also lot of symmetry, weld and FFD modifiers.

I used version 8 because that is the latest one with pof exporter.

You are correct. Lets say few more words about it:
This is supposed to be a strike carrier with lots of birds and guns to protect them. It is not prepared for direct capital ship combat. This is a smaller and more agile ship than Columbia class. Main reason of it to release a swarm of vipers and strengthen the point defenses against enemy fighters, also doing it as fast as possible. It has better FTL, also smaller, so no need for retracting the pods. There is no real viper maintenance on board. The room was sacrificed for the double pod concept, therefore allowing faster combat landing. There were lots of problems with this ship after it was deployed, because designers changed too many things at once. Some of their ideas was not really welcomed among military people, and was changed later. The most prominent problem with it, Sobek class heavily depends on supplies. It cant operate alone long. It has too many vipers compared to the maintenance capabilities, and also has very high fuel consumption. Those things were radically changed in the later battlestars, resulting at the end those huge and self sustaining beasts as Pegasus is.

Not to mention that Peggy is 2 times longer. Scotchy did an excellent job modeling it. Pegasus is still the most menacing battlestar.
