ok, we are officially hitting the threshold of how many of these games we need. i suggest any future developers out there think long and hard about how they are going to make their games of this type stand out because they truly are starting to all look the same to me.
im not going to bother making any comparisons, because almost every game is unique.. but all it takes is turning a blue dot red to set 1 apart from another and gamers deserve more than THAT sort of variety. seriously i have played alot of these kinds of games and any more it seems to me you should all for the most part just pool your resources and make 1 bad *** game rather than making several 1/2 assed games.
really "digging" the bigger caverns.
awful horrible terrible game.
go with expansion. seriously, we miss them. so sick of day 1 dlc and then little trash dlcs coming out every 2 months until i completely lose interest in ever playing the game again because i know its just a matter of time before yet another dlc is released.
if you go with expansion you get to use the framework you have already made and REALLY flesh it out, it HAS to be a huge advantage from a productivity standpoint.you can add systems that had to get cut back in, you can simply alter models to create new models, and you can polish the hell out of gameplay elements already there.
a sequel im 90% certain will get a lukewarm reception since it doesnt feel like the first game ever really matured.
funny androgyny ruins games for me.
this game has ruined me for other alphas, i fear my ****** has left me a crippple.
that sounds like something people would learn in videogame school "design games so they can be picked up and played". fact of the matter is those schools are the problem because all they are teaching anyone to do is make the same exact games as everyone else. from a design standpoint it works for overly simplistic games that appeal to pop gamers only. i think most people who play indie games LIKE a certain amount of thought behind their games though, which only a manual can provide.
plus i miss the days of reading the manual while mom drove home from the game store.
so long without a response does not bode well for this game.
no offense but i will NEVER deal with indiegogo again.
you have the game, play it! stop being cheap losers! if you want the game in both places BUY IT IN BOTH PLACES! try thinking of someone besides yourselves for once in your (hopefully) short and meaningless lives, like developers who need to feed themselves and their families by SELLING games. you ********* paying a few cents for 3 copies of the game does NOT count as support!
totally, the whole thing with bundles giving out steam AND desura keys needs to stop.
downloading a standalone is just a matter of clicking on the "downloads" over there.>>>
the cache i dont know about except (i guess) uninstall desura and delete the folder it was installed in.
for an alpha... 10/10! ******* brilliant!
yup, that sorted it out.. kills me that i could have done that hours ago.
actually it keeps telling me theres no copy to install, going to try restarting desura before i worry though.
ok so at what time will (should) it be here on desura?
looks awesome! says i cant play it till tomorrow, but if its even 1/2 as good as descent i will be in heaven.
i think you are missing a KEY point. the kinds of people who enjoy this type of game do NOT care for mmo's, mmo's are last decade we DONT like playing with cheaters, cash shops, or min maxers. we LIKE playing with our friends (asin ip/lan play), getting creative, and feeling like we accomplish things WITHOUT spamming for 2.5 hours to get a group together to do so.
lego universe flopped completely, i HIGHLY doubt youll do any better as a mmo.
im getting it with almost all games.. not cool desura.
have never played cod or any other war based shooter. 25$ for a boring as **** indie game for the LGBT community is insane.
de nile aint just a river in egypt.
making it compatible with hamachi is like putting a "steal this game" sticker on the box art...
god is punishing you for choosing that name. haha.
would it not make the most sense to have fog of war lift for wherever you can see? i mean its not like you have to stand someplace to know it exists, if you can see the building 200 yards away it should be mapped. if someone is foolish enough to go trekking off into the middle of nowhere does it not stand to reason that they are taking their life in their own hands?
well no, i mostly like(d) using desura because its indie unlike steams whoring ways.. now it is just the same ***** with lower quality product. i may as well go to one of the indie game sites and go completely drm free.
but for the record YES i do infact regularly abandon things that go mainstream or sell out just because i hate pop THAT MUCH. hopefully the world never catches on to educational programming or i am really up ***** creek.
really though, people need to just stop the useless comparisons. its like raising your hand and saying "im completely ignorant!!!" when you do it. each game is its own thing (unless its completely stolen..) and similarities exist in ALL things.
that doesnt make it right.
infact it makes me want to stop supporting desura entirely.
outside of keyboard emulators (yes i am aware that they exist) you REALLY need to get controller support in this. i could see if it wasnt based on a console game, but being that it is it needs to have it.
other than that steller concept!
p.s. indie game stand is giving us the soundtrack with the desura key.
we do need fog of war. i mean you could explain it not being there away pretty easily, but it adds to the immersion ALOT.
this greed driven pile of filth has no place on desura!
there is certainly nothing indie about it.
why not have it so completing all 4 zones (beating the game) unlocks a higher difficulty? a game+ if you will.
i would WAY rather be able to fully develop and flesh out my character as much as i want than be told "you win, game over" when there are still 12 more points i want to put in various skills.
