There will be a range of terrains, mostly grassy I believe.
Just over half a day
I've added your question to the Q&A, so I'm not going to answer it now.
The future plan for the podcast is to have it in accompanied with a video, so it'll have screenshots, video and more. ;)
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll make a note on the script.
as many as we can get
Here is our petition, make this happen!
They think we have a real chance
You realise the 'Saul Zaentz company' is Warner Bros. And We have tried tweeting them, but I feel we need the community to start tweeting them en masse. One persons tweet will not get noticed, but a few hundereds will.
ok, thanks good
Put us in contact with them, this sounds great
We were considering that a long time ago, but its too much effort and it also takes away what MERP means. If we have to change all the names, most of us will just drop the mod.
That isn't a half bad idea, if we are allowed to continue that will be one of our suggestions.
Anything to gain exposure is awesome! Please tell everyone you can.
More of this!^
? No, it means the whole mod is halted. so no playing as anything.
Use our facebook page Facebook.com
You know, I was actually going to get LEGO LotR, and I'm a dev. Not now though :( In the appempt to stop themselves losing sales by shutting us down, they've actually triggered a lot of boycotting... fools
That would just give WB a reason to sue us, so unfortunately not.
MERP fans: we are sorry for the lack of activity over the last few weeks. Keep an eye out for a major announcement in the next few days.
Post an application there with an example of your work, then one of our literature overseers will review it.
Composers not so much, but quest writers would be much welcomed.
For one, you've been the first to ask a reasonable question in a while :P
Races for the first release, only Rohirrim. We considered gondorian but they just wouldn't fit in at the current time.
Characters will probably be done on book description, since there are several discrepencies between the books and films.
This is only a detail so not a priority now, but I'll stick it on the list ;)
Impossible to say when there will be a public release, so your guess is as good as ours.
Yes, buildings can be ported straight from OB, but with work on the collision and textures.
Our youtube channel will get things on it sooner or later. For one the podcast will be hosted there with its media ;)
Also trailers and other showcase stuff will go there and here.
The combat system is beong totally re-worked, so all these issues will be ironed out. We are working on proper dual weilding and storage of weapons too, so secondary scabbards will be there.
1) stop posting these questions, you don't relise how irritating it is.
2) Dragons will not be in MERP appart from a very small number of lesser wyrms. Shouts will not exist (and I'm not sure how that leads on to Nazgul)
The Glittering caves will definately be in ;)
2) There will be rumours going around the area, also they will happen on the set dates, so any accurate LotR timeline will be your guide.
4) What do you think we're doing? And have you even looked through the screenshots to see our map.
I also believe that the whole of 'best' is in capitals :P
Yes you will probably have to pay for your horse in a stable, unless it is the miliary stables and you are in the army.
Instruments have also been suggested, a while ago I made it possible to play an instrument by activating it in your inventory, but it was only animations ans no acutal interactivity or music.
We plan to have everything throwable... I mean EVERYTHING!
Broken your shield? Throw it at an orc. ;)
I deleted one, because it had been covered many times before over the last 3 pages.
That is indeed the plan.
Currently they are better, we now have more than the 3 directions in vanilla.
