We undoubtedly know the answer to the poll will be 'Release it now!' :P
We still have not decided, so I'm afraid you'll all just have to wait.
Unfortunatly we can't even be that vague, we have no idea who long it could take to finish. It definatly wont be this year, Q4 2013? maybe. I'm not promising anything so don't hope for it ;)
Sorry, I'm getting mixed up between the old plan and the new one :P
Yes, you can only be in the fellowship, as the ringbearer, if you are a hobbit.
Oh, I forgot to mention that your race will determine your starting location and your 'role' in the fellowship should you decide to join. It will probably also change the way other quests and factions change around you, so choose wisely ;)
Yes there will be houses, it'll probably work similar to oblivion, but there may be a choice of houses in a larger variety of places.
Spouces will probably work in a similar way, and so will companions, but we will try to make it a bit more in-depth and actually interesting being married and having followers. ;)
Magic will be almost entirely removed for all races. There will be racial bonuses in terms of skills. At the moment we havn't decided about racial powers, most likely there will be some form of power available, but not in the same was as in skyrim.
The races have not been decided on completely either, most likely it'll be : Hobbit, Men of Eriador, Men of Rhovanion, Gondorian, Men of the Rohirrim, Sindar Elves, Nandor Elves, Dunedain and Beornings.
We have a couple of things planned that I'm sure will make it VERY interesting ;) just wait and see
Honestly, I'm not fooling (even though its april 1st) :P
Oh we pay closer attention than that ;)
There will definatly be a physical difference between Ponies, Horses and work-Horses. And yes, the stats will be different for different types of each ;)
Gondor, Eriador, Rhovanion... who knows :P
Its pretty intense on systems. Even though I get 60, my comp isnt actually that beefy
This wasn't even the announcement :P
and its Superb ENB-RL by Sung9533 ;)
It will be soon :D
Quit trolling and add me to the group :P
Haha, nice one DOC, now back you your padded cell :P
I'm sorry, but if people are going to spam, at least spam something interesting :P
Can you not read the sodding posts, you've asked this before and you've had an answer.
If you feel you can use your eyes, you could read the FAQ above and it will answer your stupid question!
Its being worked on, once we have sorted a dew problems with the actual page, then we will update the graphics.
Even as we speak we are working on it ;)
Skyrim was overly cramped, we want to conduct a feeling of scale so the map will actually feel rather empty. The towns and cities will actually have atmosphere to them though, unlike vanilla ;)
Its in LOTR is it not... so yes ;)
Patience... there will be news soon ;)
The engine already has occlusion culling, it does have to run on consoles too ;)
I cant think of an engine to date that renders things that the camera can't see :P
Look... if its a major location, it'll be in the game!
Yes, there will be Barrow Wights ;)
'plan on' maeg ;)
Yes, we plan on making it as free as possible in terms of where you fight in a battle. We will have huge armies of NPCs of which only the nearest 50 or so will be real, and the further away ones will be LOD with very basic AI. We will try and change this dynamically, so if you dcide to run out into the mordor army at the seige of Minas Tirith then the LOD will change to real NPCs and you will be murdered ;)
AlasdairHurst, Captain, Maegfaer and Middle Earth's Bane will be featured in an AMA (Ask me anything) hosted by Reddit GameMods! Make sure you tune in at 5pm GMT, ask whatever you want, its an AMA :P
You seem to be saying there there are only two types of inventory possible. What about something like in Kingdoms of Amalur, which may I say is a far better system than Skyrim's.
The Deus Ex inventory (from the original deus ex ;) ) , is utterly inappropriate for a game such as this, which, like skyrim will involve carrying a lot of stuff so inventory tetris like that is rendered pointless.
SkyUI, as good as it is, we'll probably use (if we get permission) but alter heavily to make it more suitable. The magic menu will be stripped out, and the items most likely be completely re-organised.
