McKool has been on the modding scene since 2007 and has found a large number of fans on the internet. He started using the Sandbox 2 Editor for Crysis falling in love with the whole process immediately. He now has a mod called "The Mutant Factor" that he is showcasing on ModDB. I'm really sorry for the slow response. I didn't see your comment, You can simply create a folder in the Crysis directory and put TheMutantFactor folder in it. Next you open your shortcut to Crysis and add -MOD TheMutantFactor after the Crysis.exe path in the shortcut. I hope this helps.

Honestly, I have not been working on the mod. I still have it on my hard drive and I have opened it a few times but my inspiration is low. It doesn't help that the Crymod community never really supported Crysis 2 modding. Every post is either for Crysis modding or the (no longer) free SDK. I have not posted that the mod is dead though because I hope to jump back in at some point.

First off - I admire that you guys are working so hard on this and I REALLY hope you succeed. I purchased early access to help support you.

I do have a concern that I'm sure you have heard before. I have seen no updates on single player even though you make a point to describe it.

I have been following you for years and I see a video about you working on gun recoil and a single multiplayer map that appears to use the same models that you've had for awhile? I know this takes a long time but you should honestly be past that point.

I really do not mean to sound negative but I fear that this could become like Duke Nukem Forever and I really don't want to see that happen.

Nonetheless, I will keep watching and supporting you guys!

Looks really god - love the menu. My only criticism is that the big red glowing object does not look good at all. The red glows sort of pops into view and is difficult to discern. What is it? It looks like the particle effect(s)is clipping through the model; especially the big red flame.

Still, great work so far!!!

Sorry for the slow response. I have not checked MOdDB in awhile. I'm afraid that I do not have a release date yet for the sequel. I have been dealing with employment issues which have distracted me from the mod. I promise that it is NOT DEAD though.
And yes, there are 2 separate mods: one for Crysis which is already released and one for Crysis 2 which is the sequel and still in development. I just post news on both profiles to try and get as many people's attention as possible. I seem to have a smaller watch list for the sequel than I do for the original. I guess not as many people play Crysis 2 mods.
I think that has been a little depressing but hopefully more will discover it once it's released.

Again, I apologize for this taking so long. Thanks for all of your support!

How are you making this for both Crysis and Crysis2? That seems like so much work, The textures have to be modified between the versions. I say this because I wanted to port my mod The Mutant Factor to Crysis 2 and finally gave up.

Nice textures but the big shadow in the corner makes no sense when you look at the placement of the light. Try playing with the light source placement. For example, the sink should be casting a shadow to the left based on the light placement. Just my 2 cents. Everything else looks great!

Great Work! My only critism would be that the clouds look very uniform and rectangular which is odd. Doesn't seem natural. Everything else looks great though! I like the overall look and feel.
