The game is already scheduled for a steam release, just seems rude to talk about it on desura. We didn't need to greenlight, just talked directly with valve.

you can use the desura kag with the account activated via the website.
Install to desktop or similar, the autoupdate isn't configured for windows' account control stuff so if you run it from C:\Program Files it cannot patch and is stuck at an old version.
Kag2d.com log in -> user options page.
No worries, we're trying very hard to get it completed and released as soon as possible so this means a lot to hear! :)
It should really be played like it's multiplayer only - the single player has never been fleshed out because we believe that multiplayer is where this game will always shine, and developing single player content has a much poorer payoff:time spent ratio.
Where's the typo? This was written on a Friday night after a long week ;)
It needs to do this to update - run the game as administrator to get the updates, or install it to your desktop. Using the installer from kag2d.com is likely a good idea.
Please email support@thd.vg for help with this :)
Download from kag2d.com and see if it works from there - it seems that the desura installers have become corrupted.
Redownload from kag2d.com - if that doesn't help fix it, post on the forums there.
You don't have to pay for every update.
Go to kag2d.com and re-download, then use your normal login. The desura installer is broken at the moment and we are having trouble fixing it.
Try reinstalling from kag2d.com, might be something wrong with the installer on desura.
Feel free to host a server in asia, the server software is built into the game (and you can get a reduced-load dedicated server package for linux from the site) - I'm sure there's a service provider that leases servers in your area, the majority of game servers are hosted by users :)
you dont need a new account. Just use the "CD key" in your profile to turn your "demo" account into a full version account.
It is, just log into the game after activating your account. There is no difference in the binaries between full and free, you are buying an account.
Excellent, glad it isn't a bug our end (we've been trying to fix this for ages, with mixed results and ultimately no global resolution)
We're working on it slowly, but it's not as simple as just compiling for x64 sadly, needs porting.
Just link it into desura. You buy an account, not an installation.
use addBotX(TeamNumber,ClassNumber,"NameOfBot");
eg addBotX(0,1,"Henry");
You can drop a bunch of those in dedicated_autostart.gm and viola.
Basically what afroman said - our account system is separate from desura's. I'm not sure how you'd go about removing the lightning bolt, perhaps remove KAG from desura, install from kag2d.com and then create a shortcut within desura to the new installation.
Should update itself, however I updated the standalone installers as the build came out. They may not be approved yet - I'll add a patch release in a few days worst comes to worst and they don't go through.
The price jumped up by mistake, desura promotion ran out on new years.
Have you upgraded your account to full version on the site using the code you were given by desura?
Potentially. We're speaking with Valve.
