Thanks ab2531 and the rest of the NHC crew, been waiting for this one a LOOONG time, gives me double the reason to play Company of Heroes again! XD
agreed quality is well worth the wait. So excited for the patch and even more for the move to Soulstorm.
I think based on the size of your unit groups they should be Companies not Platoons. A Platoon is defined as about 40ish people or 4ish squads.
Here, this is a military group size ladder(Decreasing)
Company 80 - 200
Platoon 40 - 50
Squad 6 - 10
I agree with this nothing really new here except those spectacular light effects. I think that You should add a new projectile or something and what exactly does the changed radiation effect mean? Great but I think you all could make it even better based on what you've already done.
I don't think so. Look at the pipes on the wall, you can see individual faces on the model. If you;re talking about the mouth then I have no idea.
If the next version is ready aside from the textures I could wait like, a week for the next release. If it's going to take like three of four weeks I'd rather just get a beta now and have you guys patch in the textures.
I like your Avatar
I love the effect on the 7th. Some sort of Shield Generator?
Not that anyone really cares but why did you change the the color of the racks and stuff to grey rather than the whitish in the TV show
It definitley stays true to the overall feel of the series and the attitude of Captain Archer. Can't wait to play this!
Out of curiosity, Marc did Archer's voice right?
The bottom one is the best
Fantastiv I absolutely love the new units and from what I saw of the tank combat near the end, it looks like you all favored the fun balance more than the realism balance and I'm glad. The new units look fun and I'm going to try the mod now. Great Jagd peek at the end by the way!
I know you all don't answer comments but I still would like to ask why you didn't set the tank up with a rotating turret. The visual aesthetic of you're models is great this one included but the fast twitching of the "lumbering" tank from target to target is very odd and I think it takes away from the tanks personality considerably.
Looks like a future ninja suit. You all have an absolutely amazing art style and that armor looks so sleek. Love this mod.
Absolutely beautiful piece of armor. I hope this doesn't upset anyone but it reminds me of those cyclops kind of robots on that anime Gundam. If that's an insult I'm sorry.
so it's much like the buggy and the motorcycle from Zero Hoour mixed. Very awesome and it sounds like a very adaptable weapon.
I absolutely love the style of this ship and it's architechture is stuningly original in my opinion.
Great model and amazing art direction for all you're ships in general.
Will you ever update the mod to current COH versions like NHC or will you just leave it for 2.301 because of the optimization Corsix offers up until that point. If you won't then how do switch back and forth between the 2 versions (2.301 and 2.600).
Sounds pretty sweet, how does the game work?
Will the multiplayer have bots to fill unused player slots?
I saw this mod a month ago and I was very impressed but I forgot to ask then, does the multiplayer have bots (can you play cooperatively against the AI and with AI in addition to the players on you're team.
P.S. Hardest work on the Crytek engine I've seen to date
Is he going to release the rest of this tutorial? I wish there was some sort of guide to GIMP or some sort of Manual. The original manual the creators of GIMP made was so confusing.
Absolutely amazing guys! I love the new skins for everything and gameplay has been improved the only real compaint I have are lack of a control scheme manual or something and how difficult it is to use the lance on ships. You have to put you're crosshairs way above the target. Other than that I can't wait for the next release and if it expands as much as you did from RC3 to RC5, then we'll all have the greatest futuristic mod ever on our hands!
Truly amazing media guys I wanted to thank you once again for making this revolutionary mod. I really enjoyed the redisigned ranger, the improved look of the ships (you all seem to favor the USN as far as publicity), the new character models and the improved graphics and utilization through seemingly, very well designed maps. Sorry I post like crazy I just love this mod soo much. And I don't even want to know when this comes out just make it to it's fullest potential even if it takes another year! (sorta kidding at the end there:)
you all are such teases:). I saw an update and I was like "no way!" but it's not the next update so I'll just wait:(.did you change the Sturm's secondary?
Do you know how to install you're operating system on a different hardrive? If you do just message me and I can explain from there.
he's right though without a LEGITIMATE copy and corresponding CD key you can't create an account and you can't play online. It's only ten bucks dude?
speaking of spread thin, did you guys fix the whole "AI think there's no wall but there is and so they're stuck at the spawn point" glitch on Errah.
I've read these books and this mod seems to have promise. I do recommend though that you darken and washout the color scheme of thes units. This book takes place in a fantastic medievalish age, and the Empire is lead by a tyrant. A grayer color scheme will help create a mor somber, wartorn feel
What happened to the tutorials?
Thanks for the answers. I really appreciate and admire modders who take the time time to update their community with information.
Because I'm so excited for this mod, I'd like to ask a few discussion stimulating questions to help tie me over until the release.
What new ships can we expect to see (I was looking at Stranglet's fleet force diagrams) in this release and where will they be fighting?
Which glitches will be removed?
Are the graphics going to be altered or performance improved?
Will the new character models be included?
Have you done anything to further the interface or change it?
If any modelers on the project could make me some sort of tutorial I could do either one (skin/model).
Thanks for the answers (even the vague one) and I hope this mod reaches it's full potential and the community grows!
Wow, I just played both the maps and with the level of content you all put into this it's like 2 seperate games when you swich from surface to space combat. I absolutrly love it but I was wondering...
How many maps do you have planned?
are the weapons going to have icons?
Will you change how the sights swing around when walking?
Finally when is the next release?
