Sorry!
I don't have beta access yet (only just joined the Desura group) but I downloaded the installer anyway. That worked fine.
However...
When I try to run the Desura launcher, I get the following:
include/SharedObjectLoader.h:75 - Error loading library libuicore.so: 'libjpeg.so.62: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory'
I'm using Arch Linux 64-bit. (I note that I do have 'libjpeg-turbo' and 'lib32-libjpeg-turbo' installed on my system). Also, after extracting libjpeg.so.62 from the Ubuntu package 'libjpeg62' (http://packages.ubuntu.com/oneiric/libjpeg62) and putting that into ~/desura/lib/, the login screen apprears.
I may be misunderstanding you, but I'm pretty sure they won't be publishing the client source code.
Hello, I'd like to offer a small suggestion:
I think worldofpadman.com (at least, the English version) doesn't really cater for people who are new to the game 'World of Padman'. The Desura page is much better in that regard, with a summary, videos, etc. so perhaps you should add a couple of sentences at the top describing the game and linking to the Desura page(s).
This (from indie developer Wolfire's home page) is the sort of thing I'm thinking of:
'We have finished our first shareware game, Lugaru. Please check it out here! We are currently hard at work on the sequel, Overgrowth, and you can follow our progress on the Wolfire Blog.'
