I'm guessing something along the lines of episodic content. It might be a good idea, but I don't think I could stand another long wait for Episode 3 :-)
Be sure to read the installation instructions at Modetwo.net. If you still have any problems then ask for assistance at Modetwo.net.
Firstly, I said 'almost unanimously', so your over-reaction (simply everyone!) to my 'sycophantic' obsequiousness is surprising, coming from a pedant such as yourself.
Secondly, I find vacuous criticism to be offensive, which is why I was compelled to ask you to provide some basis to your claims. You should learn to be more constructive in your criticisms, at least then you would be contributing something.
"...and the mission and all of its not-ready-for-prime-time scripting depends upon this avenue of 'adventure'"
Hogwash. The mission can still be completed if you go the wrong way to begin with, whether intentionally or not. I've done this myself and the mission plot did not feel adversely affected by it.
Now, there is a FM bug (not a TDM bug) whereby one objective won't get checked off if you don't complete another first, and I'm sure this will be addressed in due course. Apart from this single bug, no, I don't know what you're talking about.
Could you elaborate on this statement at all? This mission has almost unanimously become an instant favourite amongst fans of TDM, so I find your comment rather extraordinary. What lingering bugs? What poor design?
The ai talking about lights going out really adds to the atmosphere of a mission, but the relighting takes that to a whole new level. Existing missions won't display this behaviour as torches and AI need to be setup for this, but once missions start using this it's going to make a huge difference.
It's a really nice bow sight, wasn't sure I'd want to use it but I'm leaving it enabled :-)
I've not seen that one. You're best asking for help in the tech support forum at Modetwo.net.
Looks great, I like L4D but always wanted a more horror themed zombie game with slow moving zombies and more limited ammo. Also, it might increase the tension if some weapons could (only occasionally) jam, forcing you to drop and run or change to another weapon.
you'll want to get that checked out. ;p
i think it looks even better than the traditional design, would love to see in-game
It looks like it's just the mod installer. You'll need to check out Thedarkmod.com for all fan missions. St Albans Cathedral is the most recent, and a very nice mission so far.
Wow, that's really impressive! Great work so far.
This is exciting! I love the atmosphere you've created in these demo videos. I'm not sure about the title though, Thievious doesn't really roll of the tongue does it? Why not simply call it Thieves? It get's the point across (i.e. more than 1 thief = co-op) quite simply.
Also, with all the mapper support that The Dark Mod (another Doom III thief mod) has, it would seem a waste not to take advantage of the codebase behind TDM (which the team have previously said they'd be happy to share with anyone wanting to create a multiplayer mod) rather than having to do everything from scratch.
