What is there to say? No one reads this stuff anyway. But whatever, my name is Isaac Cuevas (pronounced Kwe-vas) aka Master of Metal (tank metal) aka Gontolemo, I live in Western Australia. I was born on the 5/5/1998. I don't have any real experience with computer coding, modeling or otherwise, I just like playing games, especially ones with storylines. I'm fascinated with history, especially in the military and ideological side of it. I am currently writing a novel/la on which I have yet to decide a title.
God I wish I could tell what you guys are saying.
Don't have to have customization (although it would be cool).
To do something similar, just to the basic four classes with weapons and equipment. Then mix 'n' match the stuff about to create custom class downloads.
Upload them in the addons and tell the users what the custom kit includes [Custom Engineer class, M4 carbine, G17 pistol, SRAW, spanner] how to install via description.
If you understand it, it's quite simple.
It could be a substitute for the menu while you work on it, providing you have time.
That could cause lag.
*Finishing my comment.
I thought that DICE balanced out the classes well in BF3, and just putting this out there in case you like the suggestion.
Furthermore, the LAV and BTR have infinite ammo, as do all vehicles. The LAV and BTR just have six rounds a magazine (no chance of overheating), and all HMGs have overheating enabled. I think that helicopter and jet missiles should be finite, if you did this, just to force pilots away from killing spree by vehicle every time.
In BF3, there are four classes; Assault; Engineer; Support; Recon.
Recon is, predictably, a sniper class designed for the player to spot targets for more suited friendlies to take out. Uses a sniper and a becon to spot enemies. It has similar look to your Spec-Ops class in BF2 (Mask, no helmet, casual military ware).
Support lays down fire with LMG to suppress the enemy. Still has ammo bag, but has C4 as well, or mortar, or claymore. Infinite charge on ammo bag. It would be difficult to recreate the mesh for body.
Engineer changes a lot. Basically a tank-killer. AT weapon, blowtorch (repairs friendlies, destroys enemy vehicles). Looks like the BF2 VANILLA Spec-Ops class model.
Assault is basically the Medic class renamed, except infinite charge on the defibrillators and healing bags. Same model as the Assault class in BF2.
I thought that DICE
BMPT
Search it.
Make it.
Pwn enemies.
Still not found a good enough texture for the ice?
But is that the skybox?
How about swan diving from sprinting?
Or just getting up from crouching or being prone?
Ae those animations beyond you?
Well played
And this will go on for each and every weapon?
Just need a moving track, 1p hands, improved model and effects and that should be it.
The map just needs rocks scattered about and small shrubs (otherwise the map and clumps of pines look empty [you would expect forests to provide cover]).
What are the particle effects of?
The first one is breath?
Near perfection.
When semi-HD textures are in and you finish the anims (not to be mean again, but I liked it when you held the PKP from underneath), this will be a perfect weapon.
Perhaps for the animations, you could roll left or right to move sideways?
Finally, a bit of muzzle flash would be superb.
Are the weapon remodels of yours just 'cleaning up' the current weapons (you do know what I mean right)?
I could record BF3 weapon and vehicle sounds if you want, if it isn't considered plagiarism to put the sounds from a sequel into a *ahem* prequel.
I have no idea.
I've only ever made maps for Company of Heroes.
If the blackhawk on karkand is replacing the Abrams on 16v16 matches, will the T-90 on the MEC side be replaced with their equivalent helicopter?
Wait a second!
This is the same weapon from your crawling animation showcase. What happened to that animation, personally I think that one is better.
If I knew how, I could go on BF3 and record tank reloading.
Or would that be plagerism, to add content from the sequel into a mod?
Don't mean to be mean, but I think you hold a Pecheneg with your hand underneath, holding the ammo magazine.
I agree with WaffleAndy in that the crawling animation needs to be changed a bit.
Brilliant reload animation nonetheless!
What would be really awesome to see is hands on steering wheels and handlebars!
Now I realize, the model really does look like it came straight out of BF3.
I mean that in a good way; just look at the detail!
Could you replace the USMC Linebacker with the LAV-25 AD or the M163 VADS?
And perhaps in the far future, you could make a smaller, close quarter-style map of the BF3 Damavand Peak?
It is a custom model, right?
Nice work!
Reading Wikipedia.
The current SRAW missile launcher the USMC uses, uses a 'fire and forget' system in which the missile locks on, rather than the marine guiding the rocket. Can you make it do that?
Or just make a SMAW, perhaps?
The ground and sky are always dark and red-ish. Is there still the green pastures used by vanilla Warband?
Might need to retexture/remodel the basic faces of warband to suit the mod; the guy just looks out of place.
Awesome work though!
One thing, the shots sound cut-off. Think it would be possible to keep the echo going until it fades away.
Great stuff nonetheless!
To add an extra layer of realism, you could add the feature where where if you fly in a jet or helicopter that is damaged, the health bar of the vehicle slowly goes down.
I've got this song and her version of 'Age of Oppression' on iTunes.
I listen to it whenever I'm just on a mountain peak and am looking out over a wonderful view, say the sunset on the Throat of the World.
I truly, truly, wonder how they do that scenery.
The lighting, the clouds. How...?
