Just to clarify, The "points system" is only used for bonus attacks. You can think of them as power-ups that you collect as you play.
Bonus Points to not have any bearing on normal ki/melee attacks.
Historically we have had composer create tracks specifically for ESF or have had bands allow us to use their music.
There was a composer called MickeyG that was working on music for ESF:F, but he went MIA a few months ago. Here's a sample of one of his tracks.
They also had slaves. Are you volunteering?
On a serious note, we're starting to let the community help out with projects that will speed up the release of ESF:F. Take a look.
It's not intentional. We're busy working on stuff...
It's a pretty slow process to create new content (models, animations, maps, fx). There's a lot of stuff that is in progress that's not ready to be shown yet. Sit tight for now.
You might want to go back and read through the thread again. In particular you might want to check for the latest post by a guy named Mastasurf. He seems to know what's going on around there.
I enjoyed the teaser trailer. It has a nice style to it.
The minimum system requirements are not finalized yet. They change based on the Steam Hardware survey and the various optimizations that the coders implement. Just recently there was talk about requiring video cards with DirectX 10.
The requirements will definitely be greater than the original requirements for Half-life 1. If you're able to play modern games you should be fine.
Thanks and hello!
He kind of reminds me of Howie Mandel's evil twin. The models looks good. I agree with Domo about the length of the arms.
Thanks for the constructive feedback.
That's is entirely doable. The lightning strikes are all based off the same animated sprite. It shouldn't be too difficult to add a few varieties of lightning to the FX system.
Thank you to everyone that has voted for ESF!
I'll be roaming the show floor the afternoon of the 8th and/or the 9th if you want to meet up.
Some of the ESF developers are going to be hanging out in the Earth's Special Forces steam chat at 18:00 GMT. Feel free to join us for a Q&A session where we'll try to answer the communities questions about ESF.
19:00 GMT is around 2 hours from now.

This was taken in game. It's a bug so you won't need to worry about bustin' a move once the new version is released.
Thanks for the support guys!
Haha. I haven't seen the series in a while. I must have missed that Frieza likes to caress balls.
I think he means that there is blood dripping down the wall, but there is no puddle of blood on the ground below it.
I love the Left 4 Dad box with the baby hand.
It seems that the video transcode decided to cut the clip short. Please hold...
We went through a series of Open Beta releases in the past and it received little traction. Even today there are more players for 1.2.3 than the latest open beta version.
There was some discussion between the developers about creating a demo version. There hasn't been any conclusion though.
It's a nice thought though. :0)
Mastasurf@esforces.com or PM me using Moddb.
That's odd. Usually I reply to everyone that applies. Can you try resending it?

I bought the song here Digstation.com
Thanks! The song is untitled. Literally...

Thanks guys :0)
The new version is still under development. This is just a teaser video of what is being worked on.
ESF mainly uses SVN to manage internal builds, Mantis for bug tracking, and both Dotproject and scheduled weekly meetings (IRC) for task management. Any impromptu communication is usually left to a combination of development forums and aim/msn/steam/teamspeak/etc.
Did any of the other projects happen to use Rsync before SVN became popular?
Thanks Joure. That's a nice compliment, especially since it's coming from someone outside the ESF community.
