Sorry for answering late, but yes, go ahead!
The newest article has a link to the changelog in this taleworlds thread: Forums.taleworlds.com
(in the spoiler)
Suspended, but likely the final if Bannerlord comes out before I get the itch to return to it again.
It's the same version. I posted an announcement that hasn't been authorized by the admins here yet, but should also be in Nexus and Steam Workshop about how I stopped working on it but that there had been a 3.1 beta all along
Hey guys, I'm the creator of Gekokujo. I just want to confirm, so that there's no further trouble, that War of Samurai has my permission to use Gekokujo assets
I wonder what the heck that was
That definitely was not uploaded by me or anyone authorized by me. I hope none of my accounts or anything were compromised, but I'm changing my passwords stat
Steam version is fully uploaded, it just doesn't include the sourcecode and some of the readme files. I haven't changed all the food yet, but I intend to. I do want to improve the skins, but it's hard for me to get it right.
i kind of want to have another go at the armor models, that's for sure. i made them when i started out and wasn't very good yet. sure, i touched them up some, but they're still largely the same model. contrast that with the textures (although too neat and clean, i admit), which i kept remaking from scratch until i felt that i became skilled enough.
as for the music, check out the credits in the readme directory
Yeah, and Tsu (nearby) was upgraded to a town. It turns out Yamada was more important *before* and *after* the Sengoku, but that Tsu was more important *during* the sengoku
It may take a very long time to start up a new game (that it looks like it must have crashed) because of the number of factions in play. I am working on improving startup time, but while that is still not fixed, I suggest starting a new game in windowed mode to allow you to do something else while it starts up. Once your new character is made, you can save it and restore full-screen mode -- starting a new game takes a long time, but loading an existing save is as quick as normal Mount and Blade.
It just takes a long time to start a new game, unfortunately, because of all the factions. I suggest starting a new game while in windowed mode, to allow you to do something else while waiting, then after creating your character you can save it and restore full-screen mode -- starting a new game takes a long time but loading an existing save is as quick as regular mount and blade.
There's a changelog in the readme of the installer and the forum link at the top of the summary page. I'll make a news update with the changelog right now, actually
I have uploaded the 3.0 installer to moddb. It is now awaiting authorization. I will change the summary page when it has been authorized
Stand by everyone, Gekokujo 3.0 is almost ready to go. I just need to have a final word with some testers on the taleworlds forums (which is down right now, argh), and then I will proceed to upload it here if I don't need to change anything.
I wanted to finish it by the 19th (then 20th when i found out I had the day off) because i knew i'd be busier afterwards. I am still working on it, however, just not at the breakneck pace I had been doing the week leading up to the 20th. I'm crossing my fingers that I'll be done soon
Ugh, I am working nonstop but I don't think I'll meet a 19th release. I'm trying anyway, but if I don't make it I hope the 20th is possible (I get the day off from work because of MLK day)
i had nothing to do with it. i'm surprised that guy isn't in trouble for using shogun models
that is a terrible typo on my part. what you should be looking for is hemp cloth, not wool
Hi, sorry I haven't checked in moddb in a while. I am aiming for a January 18 or 19 release
I solved the peace thing, I think. Hopefully I can get 3.0 out as quickly as possible
ninja are not ahistoric, they existed. they just didn't look or act like the way hollywood or modern japanese cinema portray them. i'm not going to create separate files to please any crowd, i'm going to make exactly what i want to play -- exactly what i have done so far.
i'm not adding the koreans and chinese on the map, but they will appear as mercenaries.
i am beginning to add ninjas -- no big features yet, but their weapons are at least finished
i am trying to make more them have more warmongering for 3.0 -- i hope i can make it something in between how crazy it used to be and how quiet 2.1 has become
Parts of that are mine, but a lot of that seems to be their own -- and the parts that are mine I already gave permission for anyone to use. Thanks for looking out for my sake though ;)
could you pm me your rgl_log.txt? it should be in your /warband/ directory
thanks for asking for this, because i just checked it and it turns out to have errors. i'm going to change it for 3.0, but in the current version, the following companions are considered nobility: meiling, tojiko, mokou, kaguya, sessai, yeosong, george, and isosangemat. in 3.0, no foreigner will be considered a worthy noble by the other lords, with the exception of yeosong and isosangemat. several samurai companions will also now be considered "noble" (aka having traceable descent from the miyako no musha and whatnot)
The domestic policies are from the diplomacy mod, so it's identical to that. Here's Floris mod's guide to their implementation of it: Floris.wikia.com (mine is identical, for now).
