I solved the peace thing, I think. Hopefully I can get 3.0 out as quickly as possible
i will be adding them as mercenaries, eventually
ninja are not ahistoric, they existed. they just didn't look or act like the way hollywood or modern japanese cinema portray them. i'm not going to create separate files to please any crowd, i'm going to make exactly what i want to play -- exactly what i have done so far.
i'm not adding the koreans and chinese on the map, but they will appear as mercenaries.
i am beginning to add ninjas -- no big features yet, but their weapons are at least finished
i am trying to make more them have more warmongering for 3.0 -- i hope i can make it something in between how crazy it used to be and how quiet 2.1 has become
Parts of that are mine, but a lot of that seems to be their own -- and the parts that are mine I already gave permission for anyone to use. Thanks for looking out for my sake though ;)
could you pm me your rgl_log.txt? it should be in your /warband/ directory
thanks for asking for this, because i just checked it and it turns out to have errors. i'm going to change it for 3.0, but in the current version, the following companions are considered nobility: meiling, tojiko, mokou, kaguya, sessai, yeosong, george, and isosangemat. in 3.0, no foreigner will be considered a worthy noble by the other lords, with the exception of yeosong and isosangemat. several samurai companions will also now be considered "noble" (aka having traceable descent from the miyako no musha and whatnot)
The domestic policies are from the diplomacy mod, so it's identical to that. Here's Floris mod's guide to their implementation of it: Floris.wikia.com (mine is identical, for now).
To go faster, hold ctrl+space. It works even when you're moving
ninjas are going to be in the next update. as will a new ninja companion
dual wielding is actually less possible than custom named weapons, because dual wielding requires changes to hardcoded engine stuff
can you pm me the entire log?
that's on the drawing board, actually, but not for the next version
could you pm me your rgl_log.txt in your /mountblade warband/ directory after an attempt to start a game?
I am filipino as well ;)
I can't believe it took this long, but I'm now wondering... should I increase the vassal count to match the increase in cities? That would make saves incompatible and would probably be a CPU hit
Yes! This is actually a plan for my next update. I'm going to have katanas and other weapons labeled by region (Soshu, Yamato, Bizen, Yamashiro, and Mino) or legendary swordsmith (Masamune and Muramasa). Masamune have high speed, Muramasa have high damage. If you have any other legendary swordsmiths you believe I should use, please tell me.
Sorry I haven't been paying attention here much, I've been busy with my new job
I only (nearly) doubled the number of towns, castles, and villages, true. I don't want to add anymore, however, because it adds too much bloat unfortunately :(. But rest easy, I at least did take density to account -- the number of towns and villages in regions were based on a cadastral survey by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. That's why Tohoku is so empty while Kinai has three cities extremely close to each other
I'll try to make an option for all-traditional music, but please be patient if it takes a while ;)
Don't worry, that's a weapon from an OSP that I kind of use as a placeholder. I'll get rid of it eventually
I'm definitely adding all of those, including ming, korean, and manchu mercenaries. I'm not going to mess with the samurai troop trees much, but I will add faction uniques
Yeah, that sometimes happens -- I think it's an occasional bug in native as well. It slows battles to a crawl for me, and I can't get rid of it except by restarting the program
I've uploaded a new 2.1a installer and a 2.1a rar file. they're just waiting for authorization now
Yeah. I am fixing this bug and another bug relating to the campaign AI. Expect a patch tonight, as well as a rar version
