Command and conquer taught the industry of game design that making factions with actual differences was a plus to tactical gameplay. The series allows us to pull of victory with clear, though often soft counters, and simple gameplay. The largest complaint I hear is that Command and Conquer was better under Westwood.
The style of red alert has always been comical (somewhat), EA has brought it to new and controvesial levels in the two current sequels.
People endlessly complain about this, and though I often find myself annoyed by this, I don't think it's worth the flaming on forums.
The largest complaint of the Tiberium series is definitely the elimination of the Super High Tier, and Iconic Units. Ex: MMKII, Titan, Wolverine. EA tries very hard as do most companies the make each game unique. More people would complain if Tiberium Wars was an exact copy of Tiberium Sun with the same units. When EA tried to add the units in the expansion, the fanbase complained it was a way to milk more money out of the game.

In the end, I can guess that one of the reasons EA has ended the Tiberium Saga is because of the Impossible to please fanbase. I don't like a lot of what EA's been doing, but I still enjoy playing their games.
EA has to rethink their unit design though, I mean really look at the Scorpion tanks and Avatars.
