Probably, though I wish the mutant's path finding allowed them to hide inside the bushes
Oh yeah didn't see that, I clicked it and shows what was cut out. Didn't know of wolf rats, counterparts or tarks either
Didn't know about morlocks Stalker.wikia.com
I bet this is more forested than the real Prypiat
Pls stop taking RL pictures and show us the game
Too bad the lightrays don't show in screenshots like ingame
Zone of Alienation has the magazine system
Should have occurred to me before to put my screenshots here. Lost lots of SS bout a year ago with OGSE, RMA, Secret Trails2, Priboy, LWR and Lurk. Had one OGSE shot with all of the freedom base dead, piled up on the stairs.
Don't believe it's that demanding(like more demanding than any other mod), it must have a bad optimization or something idk, since I don't have such a good PC by today's standards but I can run any demanding mod on the lower side, but WOD runs like hell on the lowest of possible(meaning low settings + a tiny resolution). Others said they have a good PC and runs bad. It is stutter-free, just very low fps
Haha the ending, I love it when they put together different lines from games to make it funny. Don't remember when Garrett said "oh so that's the famous Garrett"(maybe a wanted poster or something don't remember) in the older games but putting these lines together, old Garrett is making fun of the new Garrett. And this is right btw, the old one never said anything like oh Im so great, but yeah this is for publicity
Really don't understand why some don't like the game when it's as good as it is. It's a worthy sequel and a great closure to the story. 9/10 by the top magazine in my country, i actually have it from 2004
Idk I haven't heard of it before, but 'skimming' on youtube it looks like splinter cell, a stealth&infiltration game. Oh about TDS maybe I forgot to highlight that the above 'problems' were not problems in my book, the game is as good as the first two, some levels are reminiscent of the previous games, have good atmosphere and there's also a scary mission involving a 'haunted' orphanage which is considered one of the best scary levels ever made. I recommend giving it a go.
Removing a pelt from an armor requires "some" cutting or we can do it freely? will there be like chance of failure to recover an attachment?
@David, Thief1&2 are some of the games where the old graphics didn't count at all for me, because everything else, especially the atmosphere and dialogue/voice-acting are done perfectly, the game is very immersive. Apparently some fans don't like or hate Deadly Shadows, and while they may be right in some ways because sadly it was done for the xbox and ported to PC, there are some limitations like levels are way smaller than previous games, almost claustrophobic in comparison, and although they still have Stephen Russell's brilliant monologue at the beginning of every mission, they dropped the fantastic style of briefings like in 1 and 2(pictures+monologue+moody intros). Anyway, I enjoyed T3 as much as the others, it is a perfect sequel.
Always get updates wrong by seeing all-in-ones and thinking oh you finished it? then I check again it's not in the downloads section :). Geonezis in one week now? Nice good job man :D
Are you familiar with the series? In spite of all the changes to Thief4 I still have hope maybe the atmosphere will be spot on. What was really enjoyable in the other games was entering a mansion and trying to explore and cover ground until you met ends. The levels were big in the first two games, usually took over 1-3 hours to finish a level, with enemies seriously hampering your exploration. Stealth and patience all the way was to way to play(yeah well on expert difficulty you weren't allowed to kill humans). The first game was actually meant to be a first person sword fighting game called Dark Camelot, but they turned it into a thieving game like 3-4 months prior to release.
Oh forgot, also experience for headshots(exaclty like in Human Revolution). Experience points in thief, really? This turns out to be a Dishonored+Deus-Ex. They failed in, as they said, "remaining true to the roots".
They put the E3 demo of Thief4 PS4 on youtube. My feelings are 50/50. Hopefully there will be options to turn off all of the game's hand-holding me through it. They ported the Human Revolution flashy take-downs which don't fit with this franchise, and the rolling and sliding from cover to cover. Don't like the screen edge effects which help me know if I'm hidden or not. In the older games you would just have to keep an eye on the HUD's light gem. Haven't played Dishonored but they say it looks too much alike (they seem to just re-use stuff instead of making something new). One really good thing though is the body awareness.
Best Winter Mod by the looks of it indeed.
now it's Stalker: Call of Mayhem
That giant is a pro climber
Huh, didn't know there are so many cool anims I haven't seen yet. In fact, think Ive seen some of them in the canceled Gunslinger mod. Youtube.com
From the youtube videos, Phantoms Zone seems like the same thing as Paradise Lost Beta, bringing back old stalker and RMA's cut-out quests, and the full version will probably feature the old maps
I experience the same thing, it's OK but otherwise, if I look in the distance towards the rest of the map it's less than 10fps I think. I don't see how the visual change could really have this insane impact on the system, idk, must be something else; probably, as you said, it's bad optimization for certain gpu
:) I have 2gb ram and dual 1.86, the processor isn't a problem, the ram is. 2gb is not enough for misery 1.1 I still got out of memory crash after a while on minimum dx8.
I had the same problem when I tried it, and even after I toned down to the minimum, nineties resolution, it still ran as slow as on max, which defies logic. Maybe has something to do with nvidia. Anyway still played a bit, but the damage done by me and the damage done by enemies was too unfair and didn't bother playing further.
Read the beta test reports. Of course I got all excited, especially since they mention ammo is very limited. This is the one thing shooters need, and very few games make the ammo supply a problem. I agree with beta1, this is something I thought about before too, that traders in Zaton shouldn't have you "armed to the teeth", more like basic pistols and shotguns, smgs at the beginning -to- advanced stuff as you progress, and so on, the trader in Jupiter will have better stuff to sell than Owl. And you would get nice firepower from Nimble at a steep price. Beta2 says mutants spot you from afar and you can't outrun them. Don't know how this works in misery 2, but if it is like in Redux 1.05 I like it(where mutants can't be outrun, and the predatory packs seemed to be atracted from afar by gunfire and sounds of battle, and I really enjoyed the moment I saw them invading and ducked immediately for a couple of minutes under a bridge to save my a**).
