Oblivion Lost Remake v2 got released in russian. There will be an english version too. It has bug fixes and more quests than v1, and makes use of DX9 and vanilla textures. I played quite a bit of v1 last month and I like the old 2004 textures, models, sky, weather. Hope we will be able to revert to the old ones if we want.
Watching some youtube discussions on it by devs; yeah I agree, makes perfect sense to center the story around Ripley's daughter who went searching for her mother, doesn't it?

hmm so I guess it isn't possible..just get rid of full auto and set rpm to 1800
that can happen when changing suit, the weapon dissapears from your inventory and spawns where you last entered the map like if you exited lab x16, weapon dissapears it will appear in the tunnel underground

Redux v1 is the mod that first introduced me to CoP. I haven't played vanilla CoP actually, tried Complete at first but there were some problems, and found a Redux video on youtube. I enjoyed myself playing CoP the first time and with this wonderful mod. I was very impressed by how effective all the weapons were, and the new items added to the immersion
Yeah it's pretty awesome, always wanted to play a stable alpha build Stalker, with working quests and story. I believe version 2 will be out soon, or so they say

I mean this Moddb.com v2 is in the works but you can get first version through torrents, there's a link on GSC forum. I just got it yesterday, it's a ShoC mod; it has a mix of maps from build 1935 and earlier than that, like 1865 I guess; there's old yantar, old darkdolina, old bar(different map entirely)
Playing v1.1, I am impressed, it has old textures, sounds, models. I don't play with crosshair but some weapons like l85 iron sights are nonexistent so I need crosshair sometimes. How do you change crosshair for all weapons like that of binoculars? Read a post by Dezodor that you can change weapons' classes to binoc so that it will display the circle crosshair, but then I get crashes 'no reload sound found'
Hmm, got OLR mod, and it's pretty sweet if u wanna stroll in old build maps; it is the 2004 version, old textures, models, sounds and stuff, also has original dark valley, bar and rostok.
Don't forget to add -noprefetch to your ShoC shortcut in properties>target, like:

Yes, I set AKs to 0.7-0.74 damage, and 5.56 to 0.75-0.8 damage. I believe the mod already made AKs more durable and reliable than nato guns. The accuracy of 5.56 guns is better, and has more range. The Saiga is the best shotgun in the mod, I would assign it only to veteran or master ranked stalkers(you can find it on experienced stalkers I think). In fact some weapons are too available in dead stalkers' inventory, doubt you might need to buy a gun, you just find it
Nalike, I always modify weapon damage in mods like in Lurk, based on type of ammo(caliber) and bullet speed. For example, according to wikipedia m16 has the most bullet speed between 5.56 guns so I set it to do little more damage than other nato guns using 5.56, but it's just slight more damage, not noticeable. I take all guns using the same type of ammo, start with the weakest (like makarov pm), set a damage, then for next weapons I add or take damage based on the speed the bullet has when fired from those weapons; I put the same speed, rpm, weight for a weapon as shown in wikipedia's database

The difference in damage is 0.1-0.2 higher than how it was; I did some changes like AK74 and Ak74 Kobra are the same weapon so they got same stats, and I changed AK74 Kobra shoot sound to AK74 shoot sound. Unique Groza uses 5.45 so it will deal less dmg than normal Groza, but bullet speed is much higher. If you find the damage too much, just reduce all damage by 0.2 or something

Changed weapons, changes weapons + increased prices, slightly reduced actor speeds, 1 luminocity and 1 transparency (so hopefully NPC can't see so well in the dark or see you through the bushes)
Sorry I've been too lazy with the weapons, been playing the mod, got only 4 sniper rifles left...Ill send them to you when I finish; lower the damage if you think its too much(0.5-0.6 for 9x18, 0.6-0.67 for 9x19, 0.7-0.74 for AKs, ~0.7 for .45 ACP, but 1.0 for deagle which in reality doesn't use .45 acp, 0.8 for 9x39, 0.9-1.0 for 7.61x51, and the shotguns are pretty much the same, 0.6-0.7 damage, they are deadly enough as is).
The game pretty much gives you all you need sadly, weapons in good condition, armor so you don;t have to spend almost anything except for buying ammo... 90% of repair kits I sell because I don't need them, which is why I lowered their price to 1000 so I dont make easy money off them. I also increased all item's cost in hopes that it will be harder, but not really, I got 30-40k after x18 and a lot of goodies stashed in Dark Valley because I can't carry all
I am using gnomus style scopes, mosin nagant scope has grey in the middle too, not just around the scope. I know why you put a grey layer around the scopes, but I sure miss the original gnomus without 'effects' around the scope
Did anyone try oblivion lost remake? Is there an english translation for it? In any case, heard it's pretty buggy, or just that sometimes map transition fails
I personally do not care about the quest to kill him, but you can get his weapon in the first 30 mintues of gameplay, it isn't good :D
Didn't really read any descriptions, but saw some grammar mistakes in Mosin Nagant's text, "from AK family- from the AK family; to legendary Strelok, to the legendary; eqquipped with fixed 3.5x, eqquiped with a .."
Started about 2-3 new games with 2.0.3, when I played 2.0.2 did not notice this, maybe Vampire made it to Cordon village while I was on another map, but in these 2-3 new games I started, everytime I pass the broken bridge I see Vampire and his buddies trying to get to the village...and they either die in the electric tunnel or get killed by the military at the bridge. Aside from not being able to do 'kill Vampire' quest later, more important, you can loot his powerful weapon right at the start of the game...
Maybe the bed is fixed in 2.0.3? I don't know, will have to check it out. Speaking of weapon descriptions, you might want to name the M16 M16A1 and change the ammo capacity to 20 in the description :P
I may be wrong, but maybe it's possible to take animations from other mods and replace the ones present; if it is possible Id like to know how to do it
I can confirm dissappearing bed in the Bar. About Warthog3's point 5, yeah, thats coz of Fov, thats why i wish I could play in 55 fov. I agree with you Warthog3, I mean I noticed these things myself, I also don't like m16 or f2000 sprint anims, I wonder if they would fit with the AK's sprint anims
