Someone with not enough time on their hands. From simple script writer to operating system developer, I cover everything I can. Experienced in C, with a love for the traditional UNIX philosophy. I rarely do game development and modding lately.
I don't know how to manage teams. That's why the UBX Team is a one-man team.
However, if I need help with something I just ask someone with more experience. And in some fields, specially music, since I can't compose (genetically speaking. I can learn to make music, but I still can't make it), I just grab stuff from other people, giving credit where needed.
UBX has basically been 'in production' since early 2001. And the first few episodes of the saga weren't even released publically... so I go with the 'DNF' thingio
UT99 native coding is fraking awesome! I can do whatever I want (well, almost...). At least I'll have some entertainment while I wait for the SDK. :P
In other news, here's a small piece of information regarding Hollow 1: It's a YN fangame. Nothing more to be said.
Oh, and I've recently managed to get 64-bit Crysucks to run (Along with other 64-bit programs. Seems I had the directx extension libraries incorrectly installed). At 1280x1024 with 2xAA on high settings and using Nature Mod my average FPS vary from 15 to 25 depending on the area... until everything slows down to a crawl due to the GPU overheating and I have to save, quit, and wait for it to cool down.
Sometimes I can finish stuff by myself. But in the case I start to lose motivation, positive feedback helps a lot.
Don't expect it to come out the exact day it is predicted to. The actual release date can differ from the planned one.
In my case, it depends on the game. I usually play in fullscreen at my max resolution of 1280x1024.
I'm seriously jealous! Waiting for completion. ^_^
I'm so glad you're back. But at the same time a bit worried about the 'missing parts' thing...
Thanks for watch. Didn't notice you until now.
Actually, I think he has some hard exams or something.
ONLY ONE DAY REMAINING!!!! OMG!
Hey what's up? I didn't even know about this group here!
It feels like a whole new game, seriously.
wait. I just reduced the screen resolution to 640x480 and everything worked perfectly (Including FOV, which wasn't there before). Strange...
Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit
Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz
Point of View nVidia GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB
Unreal Tournament GOTY v436
Direct3D10 video renderer v15
I don't think that with THESE specs a FPS drop could be caused by just a screen overlay though...
Well, there is a problem (two, actually):
- Extreme FPS drop at start of match
- I keep aiming at the floor
hey nice one!
when are you going to put download?
Hmmmm... So the public beta will be released on summer?
lol, that's when I'll resume development on all my projects! (I need to study) :P
Anyway, I kinda like that fancy new menu, but I'm not really happy to see 'Instant Action' in there for botmatch, you know what I mean... ;) (http://www.ut99.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=829&st=0&sk=t&sd=a)
I did, but UT99 doesn't show on the list :(
I hope it's better than the extremely sucky Steam.
I simply keep all builds of my projects on separate zips. ¬¬
And thanks for the 6/10, though I personally give it a 2/10. It's strange, but everyone enjoys my mods except for me. Why?
Yep. Even after dying thrice:
-First, while converting from V1 to V2. The files got corrupted and I had to start from scratch.
-Second, after one of my 'usual' outrages. I deleted almost all the contents of my HD, including UBX 3 V2, which at that time was a huge 170MB package full of weapons, items, monsters, and other cool stuff.
-And lastly, when I decided to make UBX 3 V3 for real, but first release a tech demo. I didn't even start making the demo at all!
I just can't give up. I hope this time I really get to work. I am so lazy sometimes... -_-'
PS: It's a pity I didn't have a connection when I made UBX 0, 1 and 2. They could have been released, they were cool. Specially UBX 0 and 1, with the 160 maps I made for them (and they were pretty decent).
Well, it's a pity I don't plan on expanding it anymore. Now I'm mainly focusing on SWWM Platinum EP3 and UBX 3 V3. But well, you have finish the SDK first. ;)
Woooo! It's really nice to see you're back at it, Shadow. I'm really looking forward to this. BTW, I think UBX 3 might look good with this SDK...
-436, of course.
-Portable? UT99 is already portable as it is. You know, put the .u and .int files in system folder.
-Bueno, a lo mejor debería traducir el mod al español, no crees? ;)
"Engine Error - Cound not load library client"
I have 1.5.1, what the hell's going on there? Is it because I don't have the Orange Box?
1.Use the OpenAL audio driver coming with this: Oldunreal.com
2.Wait for version 1.5
