The campaigns actually use the TAD AI regardless of what Skirmish AI is selected. I did this to avoid possible issues that might negatively affect the campaign experience. However, it is a buffed version of the TAD AI, just like the Skirmish version of the TAD AI available in the Patcher.

Oh, well, I dunno. I never had a beta version or anything like that. I try to treat every update as if it's the last. Not that there's gonna be a last update any time soon, but I always want the mod to be as playable as possible with as few issues as possible.
I really don't know, it's not how I work. I used to give updates numbers for a while and I stopped at version 6.0 but that was many years ago. If that was version 6.0, the current version would be like... version 50 or more. Maybe approaching 100. So yeah, as you can see it makes no sense. I like to work and release as fast as possible. I don't worry about versions (or patch notes some times, unfortunately).

Well, no. The new terrain textures are too integrated code wise (there's also a code element to them, not just the textures). What probably made it look worse for you is the fact that not all trees were changed yet, only some, so some look high resolution, others low.
I know some of the new terrain textures are very different and also affect visibility differently but it's something you have to get used to. If I had the chance to change them I had to take it.

But I am glad you enjoyed it. More things to come.
Tomorrow I will release some changes for Nomad, to make it more enticing.

What?
If you just installed the game and installed the mod, you need to run Asian Dynasties (age3y.exe) first and enter a cdkey there and then run the mod.
If it keeps asking for a cdkey every time you run it, try running Asian Dynasties and the mod as administrator and make sure your antivirus isn't blocking any of them.

If I cannot find a good image of the exact person to use, I'll find lookalikes (which is easier for europeans since there's a lot of paintings) or anything that could fit.
Maybe AI could be used for more accurate ones.

Competition? My dude, I'm one guy. And another guy doing the AI. There's no competition. But besides that, why would DE be competition instead of other legacy mods...?

I don't care what DE does but yes, it is indeed a Dhow. I said "Caravel like", a ship that fills the same role as a Caravel.
When you age up with wonders, you get free units. Those units are randomized in the mod, 2 different sets of units for each wonder.

Randomized Consulate allies, randomized Age Up Wonder shipments, made the Petard an asian unit, new unique Caravel like ship, buildable Towers, and other things I forgot about.

Released update with fixes for everything you reported and more.
I also added more stuff to the "Battle of Yorktown" scenario, something I plan to do to all scenarios.

Ha. This happens because you also need to kill the musketeers guarding the outposts but the new mod's AI moves them back and out of reach. Will fix.

Also, about Westernization, there are Damage, HP and Combat cards (both stats) in the homecity of all civs. Westernization is basically like a Combat card for Blockhouse units that you can buy (after getting the Decree card). It doesn't even make the units better than their european counterparts, so I don't understand why you're saying it's so overpowered. You have to pay a lot for it (shipment + resources) and it's only like 25% increase.

Alright, would it be fine if Westernization also increased the cost of the units and make them how they are normally?

As for the "50% damage boost against buildings" thing, I'm not sure what you're asking. You want that card removed from Russians and added to natives?

"hatomoto samurai" was just a renamed samurai with better stats. Nothing special.
Shinobi was made a mercenary unit.
"monk with hammer" replaced the Sohei as the Zen native unit, because the Sohei actually has extra models for upgrades that were unused in the original game. So that's why it was added to the barracks. If you think it's useless then please recommend new stats for the Sohei.

The US Command Post is kinda useless, yeah. I'll see how I can change it.

30.07.2023 Update:

- American, Swedish, Italian, Maltese and Colombian AIs now have unique voice sets; the Alain and Bolivar AIs use the same voices from the campaign
- added new activatable abilities for many Explorers and Warchiefs, obtainable via their specific cards
- homecity deck card limit increased to 40; deck size is now increased every 5 homecity levels
- Japanese Monks can now gather from Berry Bushes and Orchards
- fixed names and descriptions of newly added passives and auras not showing up
- fixed random hero names not working properly when creating a new homecity
- fixed the textures, player color and transparency of multiple buildings and units
- fixed a silent crash from the original game related to an Indian Town Center model
- fixed the infamous cliff lag for all cliffs and maps (scenarios need cliffs reapplied inside the editor)
- fixed a looping "can't do" sound bug related to the Fire Pit
- fixed various map bugs and inconsistencies
- improved the textures of various buildings, units and trees
- added new maps: Andes - Lower, Kazakh Steppe, Caucasus
- female Pronghorns now exist
- AI fixes and improvements

I'm not sure what you mean with the cards but level requirements were removed from all cards. Do you mean points to unlock cards?
Also mod homecities start from level 1 now. I'm pretty sure you thought it was 10 because that's how TAD is but it was actually 1 and you noticed later.

I will look at the Great Bombard and Russian tech.

But as for the lack of Arsenals, they were removed because Ottomans can now build the Consulate and use its boosts, units and techs, which is a big buff. However, you can still get an Advanced Arsenal with the card.

New Explorer abilities will come with the next update.

Imams don't take up population. And Spahis used to be a homecity only unit, that's why they were so strong. But they were made trainable and nerfed.

From all the possible things in the world...

If you have a "villager.xml" file it goes in "AoE3\bin\art\units\villagers". You need to create the folders.
But you'll probably just break things with it. But have at it.

The blunderbuss is used by the Swedish Handgonne in the mod btw.

- added new random Firepit dances; each age Native players will get a fixed dance and a random dance (except for Age 5)
- you now get Wonder Wagons as Asian civs when starting in later ages to build missed wonders; also buffed various wonders
- significantly buffed the healing speed of all healers and buildings (such as Field Hospitals and Aid Tents)
- fixed units with auras from flickering when behind buildings or trees (legacy bug)
- fixed numerous homecity, proto and techtree code issues, bugs and inconsistencies
- added the Sika Deer, Honshu Wolf and a new treasure to the four Japanese maps
- added HD portraits for Politicians, Revolutionaries, Council Members, Consulate Allies and Wonders
- added HD sounds for Alligators/Crocodiles, Camels, Lions and Pandas
