In this mod America obtained the alien tech later than England or Germany but they've got some nasty surprises for the invaders... tough I'm still searching for good concept ships... I'm afraid that, unfortunately, the Yankee fleet will stay in yard for a little more time.
Oh... that is only a remnant from sample mod 2 the tutorial mod I'm using for Invasion, I think is called Sample destroy hull, nothing special, it was just an example on how you can change commands in nexus.
Thanks... Yeah, it is not immediate, I don't remember exacttly how but I think I made a normal cone then I stretched it along the blue axis using the scale tool or something similar...
Hi, finally I've got enough material to rig up a first beta of Invasion, there are some things left to be done and a cannot give you a ETA but it is not gonna take too much I think, for now I've got some images of the Azari ships I've brought ingame and two short videos.
Please, say that the new release isn't very far cause I cannot wait anymore! The CGI sequence must be a joy for the eyes!

Yeah, they already can rotate, the Nexus engine automatically rotates the turrets and the barrels to aim at the target!

yes you're right I created all the models with sketchup Pro,
after the creation of the mesh I use the sketchup's 3ds exporter to obtain a .3ds mesh that can be opened with Lightwave 3d.
The only problem is that the exporter ''triangulates'' the models and so I have to manually clean them after the conversion, it is a long and boring work but it is necessary because sketchup is the simpler and fastest program I found!
From Lightwave to the game is simple

mmmh, you're right, I forgot it. Probably I'll change that radiation mark with a more suitable thing, or even I'll remove it... and I'll give atomic engines to more 'modern' ships like the Bismark or the upcoming Savoia italian battleship.

Hi, I've finally managed to give a beta texture to one of the models, it took me two months because it was my first attempt to make a custom texture. I hope the next ones will take less time...

I was using a rectangular texture, I've sqared it and now it looks perfect (relatively). Thanks to anyone who helped! I will upload soon a fully textured model, I hope...
Hi, I've got an another problem, sigh, as you can see I've finally managed to create the first texture but even if in lightwave seems to work decently when I convert the model I get always the same thing. The texture is put on place by an uv map and I've resized the map to fit the texture's shape. Please let me know if someone knows the solution or a related forum.
Yeah, the mod is still alive and I found a decent way to texture the models but it is going to take a while I think but maybe i'll post something soon...
