he did his lighting by adjusting the lightmap scale on the face of the brushes. Go to this website for help... Developer.valvesoftware.com

this tunnel looks really good but its not the look I'm going for in my tunnels...I'm looking for the dark purples and teals that barely lit the tunnels in Fallout 3, with some slight changes to look Half-Life-ish...we'll see about some nice big floodlights. Your stuff looks real good though.
