I am an independent freetime game developer and creative mind. Experienced working with CryEngine, Unreal Engine and Source Engine. I am Lead Developer for the BLACKSECTOR TC Mod (Half-Life 2) but the project is put on hold for an indefinite period of time. Right now i study computer science in germany and i am working on my very own standalone flash game.

I was asked not only once but a few times, about the future of BLACKSECTOR. What will happen to the mod, what is going on in the BLACKSECTOR universe? Well, i cannot tell you right now. I just know that there will definitly be such a thing. Anytime. Because i want it to be. It was always my dream to create a immersive multiplayer sci-fi shooter and it still is.

But i am currently not working on anything BLACKSECTOR. Not at that moment. Not in the next days and not in the next weeks or even this year. Of course i was thinking about a revival of the project. Give it a totally makeover, another story, better features and the most important thing: a simple and clear vision of the idea behind BLACKSECTOR. Right now there is no team and no time working on the project. But maybe someday in a galaxy far far away from here you will hear about the UASC again...

For all of you asked what i am doing and not asking what i am not doing: i study computer science, been really busy the last few months and i am working on a new, much smaller project. On my own. With a pretty clear and easy idea behind. Creating a simple platform game. Nothing special but very funny. A nice story combined with a visually beautiful world. Hopefully some of you will check it out, when there is more to show to the public. ModDB was always a nice place for me to reveal things first and so it is still the same these days. Stay tuned for some news.

Well i do can draw, yet i haven't worked on any mod. I'm interested in modding so i thought that if you need concept artist, i could help you with it.

in case you want, i can concept you guys some things like; futuristic weapons, hi-tech armor styles(sorry, my human desing is ******** i can't make awsome human concepts, but i can try), monsters... that kind of stuff.

Danke für deinen Kommentar. Wir hoffen alle, dass aus MechOverride was wird und arbeiten mehr als hart daran unser Motion Capturing System perfekt auf das Projekt abzustimmen. Die Veröffentlichung der ersten Episode wird sich allerdings vermutlich ins nächste Jahr hinausziehen; mit den übrigen fünf Episoden sollte es dann schneller gehen.

hmm also klassen-basiert ist schonmal ganz gut, jedoch gibt es auch da schon genug titel die klassen-basierte mp games/mods sind, es sind frische ideen gefragt, z.B. wäre die taktische einbeziehung von fahrzeugen nicht schlecht und/oder mehrerer gebäude die man aufbauen kann und die zerstört werden können, sagen wir mal so, als würde man nen 3D-Strategiespiel aus der 1st/3rd person spielen vlt., was mir nicht gefällt, dass wieder alte kamellen rausgeholt werden.. alliierte gegen sowjets, das wurde schon 1000x ma gesehen, in film und spiel, viel eher interessanter wäre vlt. ein taktik-shooter wo man wirklich im team agieren muss oder auch stealth-aufträge durchführt (jedoch bloß nicht nen zweites FEAR oder SplinterCell), sowas kann im coop/multiplayer unheimlich spannend sein. was gibt es denn für weitere gameplay elemente von deiner seite aus, um was muss man überhaupt kämpfen, als nur zu kämpfen, desweiteren wären mehrere parteien als nur 2 interessant, vlt. auch 1-2, die im verborgenen agieren. versteh mich nicht als miesmacher, aber man muss ne mod heutzutage so interessant wie möglich gestalten, gerade wir mit unserer UE1 werdens nicht leicht haben.. wieviele hast du bisjetzt im team? ich mache meine entscheidung grundlegend davon abhängig, wie sich für mich nach reichhaltiger überlegung die mod durch mein hinzukommen darstellen ließe und wie der umfang in relation zur aktuellen mitgliederzahl umsetzbar ist. An coden kann ich so ziemlich alles, meine Stärken liegen vorallem im bei Canvas/HUD, AI/Gameplay, Physik, Items und Waffen, Effekte, UWindowSystem, Native Coding und Pawn Coding.

hmmm das interesse an deiner mod ist bei mir noch etwas mehr gestiegen, da es keine 0815-WWII-Mod ist, wäre das für mich schon nen anreiz darüber nachzudenken, mitzumachen. Wann ungefähr willst du mit der Mod beginnen? Wenn du mir vlt. ein paar mehr Eckdaten über die Mod verraten könntest, würde ich konkret darüber nachdenken dran teilzunehmen, da ich nah-Dystopische/Utopische Mods äußerst interessant finde. Ich gebe zu beachten, da du das SDK eh verwenden möchtest, dass du mich dann als Author des SDKs direkt zur Stelle hättest... zudem kann ich noch Mappen (SP als auch MP).
