i really think the Banshees should be left as they are and be a T4 unit (available once Chemical plant is built, because their weapons and fuel are tib based). Not to be the equal of the epic/tacitus units but to be an effective counter measure vs them (as this is really where the unit excels), yes they are powerful but they have a limited ammo capacity so i'd say this is balanced add to that thier relative fragility compared to most other air units and i feel very little if anything at all needs to be done to them, except perhaps have manual switching between air and ground targeting systems. I'd say their primary role is as a counter to epic units but they can do other things too - they are supposed to be a more "unfocused" multi-role unit.
why? because it's unneccessary for the TE mod, and while it has SOME good ideas it gets so much wrong (particularly when concerned with the Brotherhood of NOD) and its a real bitch to remove it from your hard drive unless you use a software removal program. Oh and in multiplayer it desyncs ALL OF THE TIME. Quite possibly the worst expansion pack of all time ever on any system.

perhaps he should redownload and reinstall the mod, in my experience this message only occurs when different versions of the software are being used
One of the people trying to play is using a different version of TE. Make sure everyone has the same version and you're ready to rock.

rarely do i find myself disagreeing with you starfox but i have to differ with keith's opinion; yes the mutant army should certainly only be supporting forces, and yes their BASIC infantry should be by far the weakest but its precisely because they are a supporting army that 1] they have unit caps and 2] their power curve can be higher than the full factions when it comes to vehicles and things like the Ghost-Stalker. If their power curve was to be reduced all that would happen is that they would become less strategically important, as it stands now, mutant assistance can turn the tide of a battle - i think this is what carnius was shooting for. I dont think they should be reduced to little more than a collection of additional support powers. Support Powers in my view should be reserved for the full factions who have more resources to instantly deploy troops on the ground etc. However the concept of weaker Muntants getting stronger in tiberium is an interesting one, perhaps this could apply to their basic infantry.
Please dont suggest things like the death of TE people! i got so many more good ideas for units and other stuff, i really want to see people using the threads more again. Maybe they should be cleaned up a bit so we can start a fresh?
if that were to happen theres a high probability he would have to compromise his vision of how TE should be, its happened before when people have tried to assist him (remember when he first reintroduced the Cyborg Reaper - they wern't how he wanted them to be because of someoneelse's influence) its best he does this on his own. How could it ever be in his way? TE is hard work but its clearly a labour of love for Carnius. We can all wait for as long as it takes. Maybe the time would pass quicker if you guys used the forum threads more *HINT*
The banshee should have the tiberium chemical plant as a prerequisite, not the tech center because it uses tiberium fuel and tiberium infused plasma, this in itself would make vertigo more useful but also i think the vertigo could be improved by givining it interchangable bomb types and a new look as discussed on pages 3 and 5 of the general ideas thread Moddb.com also remember that if banshees go up against ann equal number of firehawks or stormriders they will lose because they are multi-role aircraft not just a fighter, also they arent that good vs structures, which is correct because this is the vertigo's role.
the banshee is powerful and versatile but remember it also COSTS A LOT and is quite easily killed and it has a low ammo count - i dont think it should be nerfed really. Re: cyborg commando just have him escourted by harpies and you're laughing

I'm working on a trilogy of maps specifically for TE, the first is done the second is bout 65% done (still figuring out some coding issues and other things) and the 3rd map is 100% planned and SHOULD be a fairly easy build, i'll release them all as a map-pack when all 3 are done.
if you dont get on with hamachi then you can always uninstall it and try tunngle, if you need any help then just let me know
Maybe try not using GameRanger, i'm sorry if this doesnt sound very helpful.
Try just playing it like the rest of us through Hamachi OR Tunngle (choose one or alternate as these programs REALLY dont like eachother).
set the graphics settings lower in C&C3's options :)
or tweak your graphics card settings to get the best out of it
it would really not make the game better just releasing little updates all the time, i say this for a number of reasons 1) the feedback process is always ongoing, use the forums more and you'll know this. Balance issues are always addressed with new updates 2) when a big update comes it does feel like christmas. I for one have no difficulty whatsoever in waiting a couple of years between updates (i know the result will be quality even if i might not agree with all the possible changes) I'm personally REALLY annoyed by people who dont know how to wait for a good thing, but i digress. For those who get bored theres always worldbuilder to play with. 3) its not some games company making this its one man its clearly a labour-of-love for him and we all appreciate the monumental effort he puts into this, i'd hate for him to release something he wasnt happy with because of time constraints 4) big gaps between updates means the community gets more time to suggest new ideas for content & balance improvements. this to me makes it feel special 5) if it were being updated often to implement minor balance changes it would be a real headache for online play if you've not been on the site everyday, i like to come to this page BECAUSE I WANT TO not because i have to to keep the software updated
