So what did you think of Black Lagoon?
I liked it, would have been nicer with more character development though. Still, an enjoyable watch.
If you are interested in seeing an awesome (gruesome) deconstruction of magical girl genre, then "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" is for you. All is nice, flowery magical girl series for the first two episodes... and then episode 3 happens. It is not nice. And then things turn out to be not so nice at all. Til episode 11 happens. It turns out to be even worse.
I want to strangle that...

It has a little bit of everything with makes it a wonderful story.
It's a very colorful anime with amazing scenes in it.
Like severe child abuse by a guy who the kid looks up to. ^^;
If you watch the movie that's basically alternate universe, it's EVEN WORSE.
