We got rid of those tactics in the past two patches. I'd suggest giving the game a shot again! :D

I just have to say, that was an awesome game, and I loved the... surprise. :D

Zelda dungeons, Egyptian influence, and creepy horror. Not "I am startled because something jumped out at me" horror, but genuine scary creepy stuff.

OMG WHAR IS TEH EPISODE TWO?

You're not making sense. Are you responding to my comment? If so, explain what your points mean.

"It isn't hard for them to make weapons map specific. Just like it isn't hard for them to make the AI directors functions map specific."

Yes it is, especially because that's not all that's going on under the hood. Have you had experience coding in the engine?

Shrug. He made a lot of sense to me. TF2 has a great formula, and Valve is perfecting it according to the metagame. L4D isn't as simple of a formula. The tweaks to L4D aren't as much matters of balance as they are adding new features. These features sometimes require reworkings of the core mechanics.

Let's pretend that L4D is HL2:Ep1 or CS or Halo, and L4D2 is HL2:Ep2 or CS:S or Halo 2.

The second game has some clear improvements, but both are standalone experiences.

Also, it's unfair to compare TF2's updates to L4D2 for several reasons. L4D2 changes things on the fundamental level. There is enough new content to require money. It can't be an expansion, because it would be incompatible with those who don't buy the expansion. It makes no sense to add levels to a game that work on an updated engine, then have old levels. This is incredibly impractical; I am a programmer for Age of Chivalry, and to do this you'd have to double the size of the DLLs, basically running two completely different game experiences. It just doesn't make any sense. The only reasonable choice for Valve is to make a sequel. I can see a slightly lower price as reasonable, or maybe a slight discount for L4D owners, but I don't really carem since there will no doubt be a Steam sale where I can get it at a lower price anyway. You guys don't give Valve enough credit. Sheesh. Trust them on this.
