Love it so much. Red Alert 2 is one of my all-time favorite game and seeing this mod with such a wonderfully designed campaing, even remaking former campaign maps, is really grand.
I'd really like to give a 10 but you'd have to work out the issue with save/load !
Also I'd love to see a mode where you are granted all the tech.
Yeah... I kind of like building up entire maps and it's currently impossible without those features. :(
Well, I enjoyed this custom story, despite being stuck a lot. I had to load former saves several times because I had the feeling I done something wrong but it was just that the solution was weird.
It was pretty long.
Maybe too long for some part. The prison in the beginning was HUGE, and maybe it wasn't necessary to make it this huge if it was to fill it with mostly empty rooms.
The city was quite confusing, there again very huge and it's really hard to get clear view of where is what. Several things are out of the city limits and it feels like you're leaving the game area. Almost as if important items are where easter eggs should be. Speaking of which I think I found one easter egg, when glitching under the map.
The mine part was OK I suppose, except for the buggy parts with the worm chase, and really that needle... At least you should have mentionned it somewhere so that people know that they should be looking for it.
The castle part at the end was nice. But that scary part right at the end was... maybe too much. Yes it was scary but SO expected that I just ran through the screamers enduring them as I knew they would most likely be harmless.
So yeah, good and long CS as many other CS should be, but there are quite a lot to improve IMHO.
I rarely got so frustrated while playing a CS.
The first thing that really got me MAD is the fact that you are walking SO DAMN SLOW for the first four maps. It's REALLY UNNERVING. I just can't stand it when i'm going slow. And this for no apparent reason too. Besides maps are huge and it's a real PAIN to go from point A to point B. I really HATED that. Remove it for player's sake.
Second thing, there is nothing to find anywhere. I feel like running around everywhere in empty environments. There is no tool, no oil, no laudanum or stuff to find and use. Barely any key. You just go where you can go and thats how the story progresses.
Third thing, BUGS. Bugs everywhere. I got stuck in several locations. At one point in the country house, my vision started focusing on one point and no matter what I did it would always focus on this point. Had to reload before entering the mansion. Also, if you re-enter the country house after you left, you are stuck inside forever. And at this point I got so frustrated that I just quit.
Yes I didn't finish it, but it was not worth the frustration I am still feeling at the moment. This CS really makes me want to punch things.
And damn it my wife is cheating on me !
Well, to me this story is a poot attempt at recreating the Amnesia main story.
Started good, but the horror and monsters came too soon with little to no build up of the atmosphere. The torture rooms were a lame copy of Amnesia ones.
The monster patterns were too predictable, to the point I just ran past them at some point.
The story telling was poor.
5/10, the points are because you were able to create a CS
Wow how did I miss that when it came out.
Just finished it and it's pretty awesome. Puzzles are pretty hard and challenging. Monsters are not however.
But the story, wow, maybe it's not that original, but it was really good and beautiful. Feels were given.
It's okay. A bit weird thought.
Very good overall, pretty maps and original.
Nice story too and good voice acting.
Maybe it could be a little bit scarier.
WOW, yes really.
This CS was really... different. Unique, original. I don't know where it comes from but it has this singular feeling that distinguish it from all ther other custom stories I've done so far (and I've played a LOT).
The additions you've made to the game are wonderful. I stayed like five minutes observing that solar system thing for instance.
Maybe there's a bit too much oil, I ended the game with 25 oil containers.
Overall it's not that scary, but there were some good parts scary enough.
And the plot... Fabulous. Really immersive story, well thought and well conducted.
Giving it a 6 as well.
As said by other people, the rooms are pretty empty, the gameplay is just search key->door.
I did not get scared once and got bored way before the end. I was when it was finished.
But there has been some work, it's kinda long too, therefore it deserves above the average.
