I can model with a free program like blender or something, but I would need someone else to help me adapt that into the game. Basically, I would need an exporter and perhaps an animator or some such. But yeah, I can still do some modding, which is how I got this to work.

Yes, that is the Zielgerät 1229 and the battery pack. I might change what I'm using for the battery pack eventually, but it's a decent placeholder.

I have a model for it with an awful texture, but I don't think I ever exported it. I could be wrong about that, because I haven't searched all my folders for it, and I honestly forget half the things I ever do. If I find it and it works in game, I'll probably show a picture of it and its disgusting texture. Funny thing is, if it does work, I can probably slap the Vampir on that too. The only other question now is whether I ever completed that all-purpose gun silencer too...

It's because I wanted people to be able to see it fairly well. I could probably have just stood the Fallschirm next to a light source on a night map, but I was very tired when I was testing this in-game.

Okay, how on earth did I get to the top 70 in popularity without releasing an actual content update? All this support is inspiring, truly. Thanks guys.

By the way, the Pershing Sherman is in the mod as a Glass cannon unit. Those of you who wanted it may feel free to celebrate.

Not sure. The King Tiger and E-75 look almost totally alike, so it would be easy.... If enough people ask for it, I'll put it in.

Most maps/ missions will be in the U.S. and U.K. to start, with some Italy, Spain, and Russia maps eventually.

Yes, the sides are sloped, but not sufficiently as yet. I did say I was still working on pieces, did I not? However, the animations are done, and the tank is, by and large, complete. The texture I already commented on.

Actually, it probably is too narrow. I was working off of online images, so I mutated the body dimensions a bit to fit the turret. I'm still resizing the tank's pieces. And a camo skin sounds like it would be very tasteful and sensible. The grey texture was just easier to use. This version of the tank will probably be the protoype version rather than the actual production model, which will likely have side skirts, a coaxial MG, and best of all, camouflage!

Yes, I thought it might be, which means it is copyright, and they'd rip me to shreds for trying to put it in my mod.

And I would be happy to accept. Send me a PM about exactly how you would like to help. It looked on your mod page as if you had a Black Prince, which would be very much appreciated in 1949.

If I can find roles for them, certainly. I think the South African Semi-auto Enfield will probably be available as Commonwealth support. I might include New Zealand's Enfield conversion as well, if I can actually find some decent images of the thing. None of the pictures I found show me a detailed view of the gun's mechanisms.

My self-esteem agrees, but if I try to make everything look perfect, then I'll never finish the mod, and if I ever did, it would run at a snail's pace. Also, I'm new to modeling, so I'm still learning the ropes.

Hmm, why not start a thread in the forum for users to suggest a military designation or cat name for the E-50 and maybe the E-100? It could have a poll listing potential names. I'm interested in what you and the community would think is best on that issue.

1. The Superpershing? It's being added, though America and the Allies seem to win too easily and too often at the moment, so I either need to nerf their factions or buff the Axis.

2. Several of those experimental American tanks will be in the game.

3. The Americans have a large, but antiquated (mostly non-jet) airforce which can make enormous strikes against the Axis. By the way, Axis players may want to take my advice and stock up on AA defenses.

4. England's airforce is mostly gone now, since they have born the worst of Germany's new jet fighters. It's Paratroopers have been nominally merged w/ the Royal Marines to create ad hoc ground assault units. More on that later.

5. This is CoH? Darn, I thought it was Sparta...

Lord_Wiffleby @ E-50 Panzer is in game

There are three reasons for creating a new Panzer IV type:
1. From a game design standpoint, the Wehrmacht has too few new models, which is why it will receive this unit.
2. Now That I have made the turret and animated it, I can add it rather easily to other vehicles.
3. Adding more powerful guns to outdated tanks has a historical precedent. Admittedly, the Panzer IV would need some more modifications (perhaps more than necessary) to put a new turret with an 88mm cannon on it, but the design is easy enough to produce, and unique enough in execution, for me to use it. Besides, it will make a great addition to the Legion's patchwork vehicle reserve. So yes, the AR benefits outweigh any practical problems that would obviously arise from this project. I'm trying to keep this mod somewhat realistic, but not by sacrificing having a little extra variety.

P.S. I think I heard a Panther actually cost about 80,000 Reichsmarks (cheaper than the PIV), I dunno how much a new transmission and turret cost (and maybe a new engine), but it would probably be about 50% of that, I think, though I cannot be sure.

The Maus is used by the by the basic Wehrmacht faction in this game, which represents the sections of the German army which have not yet received newer equipment and make do with weapons that were designed before production of the E-series was standardized. The Panzer Elite represents the divisions of the German army which have been fully rearmed with newly designed weapons. The Panzer Elite will likely use all the E Series tanks, except maybe the E-75 (which is redundant visually and from a gameplay standpoint).

Lord_Wiffleby @ British Update Preview: Tommie Riflemen w/ EM-2

The rumors of my death were greatly exaggerated. It may take me longer to complete this than Relic will to make COH2, but darn it, I'm still gonna do it.

I wanna eventually make games professionally in my spare time, so this experience is teaching me some of the hurdles I'll have to go through to get that done.

Also, note that more is being done than what I show you all. Many of my old screenshots will be deleted so I can only show revamped content. By the way, the Sieg Rifle is being modeled right now, and will be used by the Yankees. Just thought I'd confirm that as a bonus for those who read the comments.

No, I just happen to be working on a Master's Degree in History right now, which tends to eat up my free time. The current status of the mod is: being worked on.

One of the other reasons it takes so long for me to show you anything, is that a lot of my work is done behind the scenes. I technically have a fully functional schmalturm at the moment, with animations and everything. I just have to stick it on the bodies of the Panther II, E-50, and Panzer IV, and make sure it still animates properly/ isn't too big for the tank.

In other words, expect big things when I get time and my work comes to fruition.

Okay, basically, my PC is having some severe troubles right now, which may or may not be the result of a hard drive dying. I already lost some of the mod data (nothing I can't make again, so don't worry too much), while the rest has been backed up on another drive. In the process of trying to fix my drive, a lot of my mod tools have been fowled up, which I will have to set up again. On top of all this, I'm now in graduate school, which also limits my time.

That said, once my computer has been stabilized, I'll be able to send a lot of texture work for my mod team to accomplish, freeing me up to work on models and animations, which I have now learned how to do.

In the mean time, you should know that a new mod banner has been completed by onrAArno, and that the British faction should be in the next preview. I can't say for certain when that will be, though, given that I have to troubleshoot my PC. Anyway, the next update will probably be a big when it does come.

The Dutch, Danish, and several other nationalities make up the main recruitment groups for the Legion's own forces. Most nations whose own army's are not very strong instead contribute men directly to the Legion, since the Legion equips the soldiers it gets. This takes the burden of supplying the troops off of their home nations, while still bringing the benefits of Legion membership to the home country.
