Haha, just realized I do indeed have an RC plane that I haven't used before (Florida is kinda finicky, so I never got the chance to use it :P).

Got any tips when just learning to fly one?

I think you're asking the wrong person, remember, I only started about a week ago as well.
However, I have flown, both RC and normal flight simulators for a long time. If I were you I'd say try out some of those. It will make you understand what you can expect from your aircraft under perfect conditions. When actually flying though I suggest you take it easy as long as you're still getting to know your aircraft.

Oh, and make sure the wind is quite still, flying under windy conditions is something one should do when you know the aircraft a little better.

That's about all the advice I can give =)

Description

My new model aircraft arrived today! Unfortunately it always seems to be raining outside when I get a new RC model... that's very annoying.

The aircraft itself looks very good indeed. It is very light and yet has all it needs to fly: throttle, rudder, aileron, elevator.
The transmitter even has a little digital display that tells me how much throttle I'm giving, battery status and how much each axis is trimmed. It's practically a HUD.
