Ahoy. The name is Mikom. I do 3D modeling, rendering and just general design. I'm a person who over past few years has taken a great interest in formulating ideas in 3D space. Ideas are my trade in many ways yet I also lean towards the practical. I have worked on several mods and game projects though modeling for games is not my first area of expertise. Here on ModDB/IndieDB I keep an eye on the Humor Satire Parody group, I follow the modding community and watch game productions that have peaked my interest. Feel free to go through my blogs or image gallery if you want to get a glimpse of what I do. As always, have a nice day!
Since I don't think anyone will be reading this, I'll leave it at that.
Check out the games I play here Moddb.com there I also have some nice screenshots :)
Well, it's my twentieth rank on ModDB and I thought it would be a good time to post this blog where I look back on all the things that have happened since Dec 10 2009 where I accidentally tripped over ModDB and hurt my foot. (there will be no more bad jokes in this blog)
One of the first things I did was write a review of a Battlestar Galactica game called Beyond the Red Line. I actually got a comment on that review by SinKing who is now a trusted member of the SPACE 3102 team.
At the time I was a simple person who thought that the best game to mod was STARWARS: Battle of Endor. I had multiple mods that were almost finished but there always was one problem, the mod sucked. That's why I stopped modding STARWARS: Battle of Endor and continued on my 3d modeling career, that was when I created VITRIOL 3D on ModDB, it's a group for 3d modelers and it has also grown immensely the past months. Most of the members I've invited myself, this is why almost every member of VITRIOL 3D is a 3d modeler.
I also decided to upload one of my mods who I thought was my best, this mod was the M40 X pro A.C.E game (I've been forced to write that long name for such a long time that SPACE 3102 came as a huge relief). This game is the base of SPACE 3102, it was too simple though because the STARWARS: Battle of Endor game didn't offer much option except what the original game could do.
I have no regrets about making the mod, it was an excellent start for me in the modding world.
To keep a long story short we are already in the month March, 2010. At this time Bruno R. Marcos, the genius who created the free Battle of Endor and Battle of Yavin games, released the source code to his free (but not finished) game-maker upon the request from me and many others.
Me and another guy called Aled Owen decided to continue on the gamemaker, he was a programmer and I, as a very interesting change, was going to design the website for the gamemaker. Naturally, every project evolves and we ended up making a game, not a gamemaker. This game was no other than Battle of the Coral Sea, a WW2 3d shooter.
During the time I've spend on ModDB, I've also gained many new friends such as .BloodRaven, SinKing, KiwiWarrior, all the members of my teams and all the others that have clicked "Become Friends" during the past 5-6 months.
It's funny to see what one website can do for one person.
I also think that I will look back on this post one day and laugh.
Thank you ModDB for being the best website in the world!
Well, I finally declared the M40 X pro A.C.E game dead. The story and development will continue on the brand new game: Space 3102.
I will be a first person shooter and also a space simulator (kinda nice combination I think). You will be able to enter your spaceship and take of to fight the Kohlar, an evil race who had sworn never to attack humanity again.
Now you might think, "eh, who cares. Humanity always wins"... In this game it's entirely up to you because you are the only one between the Kohlar and Earth...
The game will be made with the Unreal engine 3. We need good modelers and programmers to make this game come to life.
Currently I only need concept artists, this game will have to lay low until I'm finished working on the Battle of the Coral Sea.
You might have seen that I've made some LEGO models. They are for a mod I'm working on, LEGO Battle of Yavin.
The games structure is the same only the models will be in LEGO style.

The Pegasus, what I call the dark inside me, has been taking over my mind the past few weeks. It gives me great power but it could crush me like a bug.
If I could be free from this lurking darkness within me, I would be powerless. I have an emotional side which allows me to express my feelings in a controlled way. This monster comes from the dark deeps of Mynea, castle of the underworld.
A battle between good and evil rages within the deeps of my spirit. I feel a pain in my chest, is burns like the fire of eternity. Now it is time to strike back. As the evil is temporarily disabled from thinking I will stab it in the rock which is its hart. I was to slow and missed, evil regained its strength and the battle, like me, was lost. Will it ever go away, only time will tell...
I'm making a new mod, Battle of RECALL. This mod will take place in the Halo universe. The mod will be for the free game "STARWARS: Battle of Endor".
You will fight against the Covenant near one of the HALOs. I am currently making the models for the UNSC and the Covenant.
This is my tribute to Battlestar Galactica. I made it with Pinacle Studio 9. It is the first battle in series 4 and it continues right were you left of in series 3.
Spoiler warning for you who have not yet seen series 4.
