didn't realize I needed any other reason than DooM itself to reinstall DooM - this mod proved me wrong
I think you just managed to put DooM back at the top of all FPS's ever created again...
Mod of the Year, without a single doubt.
now [that] is some serious tinkering behind the scenes - sorry if I doubted you, this does indeed seem like a very clever way of balancing the game, without losing any of the immersion
kudos to the team - you approach the difficulties of balancing the game by letting [the player] be in charge
innovative and well thought through, sorry if I doubted you
Realism Improvement: "There is no longer a maximum weight limit."
exactly how are you thinking here?
is it that I am able to carry a set amount of weapons at once? (1 small gun, 1 big gun, 1 knife?) or are you completely removing restrictions on how much one can carry?
surely by giving the player the ability to carry however many guns/items one wants, this cannot possibly be perceived as realism
I'm hoping you will go with "set number of weapons/items", since this mod already provides a realistic challenge and that would truly put it on the map amongst those of us, whom prefer a challenge when playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games...
just chiming in to say thanks
you guys have revived ShoC in ways I didn't think possible
been playing Soljanka for years now and always wanting *more content*, I finally took a break from ShoC about half a year ago
with this mod, I realize that this game isn't about content and more levels
it's about the feeling of being inside The Zone and the characters that you meet, the events that occur and the atmosphere of it all
you gave The Zone life again and brought me back
thank you for everything.
just started a new game (again, again, again) and loners still attack bandit camp prematurely and I still get 29k for the merc suit found on the attic in Rookie Camp, *after* installing the patch
just about ready to leave Cordon
repaired all my weapons (found about 10-12) haven't sold any artifacts and still have about 100,000RU
not that I mind, just hoping there'll be something to spend the money on(?)
and question/suggestion> artifacts now being useless in terms of enhancing the player, should be different priced, if you ask me
Sid seems to give me full price for them, whereas I've yet to reach Yantar, but if you'd ask me, the scientists should pay better for them, no?
once again, I'm still in Cordon, where I'll remain for some time longer (hunting, scavenging and creating mayhem)
very pleased that the military check-point down south finally gave me some resistance
no big problems thus far, apart from a cold reboot (probably due to overheating) and the fact that Wolf's men attacked the Car Park, before I got to speak with them and tell them not to
I still managed to clean the place out before they came, but a slight nuisance
one graphical glitch, worth mentioning:
when you select the Bloodstone, there's the wall of text, but with a "heart" symbol in the upper-left corner of the info
I'm guessing it's left from when artifacts had properties?
other than that, thank you for release... been looking forward to this as long as everyone else here, great job
don't forget GSC Game World Forums, though... may not have many supporters, but there's a few of us, truly appreciating the work of you and your team
a suggestion (not sure if I've mentioned it earlier, so soz if I'm repeating myself)
in the AMK: Soljanka mod, there's the ability to "climb" obstacles; as in you can "grab on to" a ledge and hoist yourself up
I'm not sure how it was implemented, nor by whom; but it's one of the best additions to the game I've experienced thus far; mainly because I love (read: LOVE) to explore areas and specifically I love to climb stuff
if you could manage to get this in, it wouldn't change the game-play/mod in any significant way, but would truly add an extra dimension (so to speak) to the game
of course, I realize that you guys can't insert all suggestions to the mod and I understand if it's not doable, just a thought
thank you for fixing this!!
now I can fully enjoy this and the demo finally felt like it should
this will be my next game to buy!
brilliant.
tried the demo, but my screen only supports 800x600/1024x768 and the game-screen was kinda fubar (i.e. I could only see part of it) any tips?

finally Beta.
try to launch
crashes.
win7 x64
ATI Radeon HD 6850
AMD Phenom (quad-core)
8GB DDR3 RAM
etc.
sincerely doubt it's the system requirements that's missing
any suggestions?
:edit
crashes when music is "on"
is ironsight implemented yet?
YES! Thank you!
peaked my interest immediately after I saw a screenshot
booted it up and.... no option to invert mouse
=/
please keep in mind that there are a lot of people out there who play with inverted mouse-controls (Y-Axis) event-though "most people don't"
just want to say thank you for this
this mod brought Vice City back to life for me, in ways I did not even realize the original lacked

this mod gives you a minimalistic HUD interface for OGSE, by removing your health/stamina/armor/stance, as well as the mini-map/radar/clock
Gamefront.com
this must be the single greatest news in this decade
the game is available at gog.com for a nice price for those of you who missed out on it
here's to hoping that people will start recognizing the awesomeness of this and make some mods
this (and Lugaru) puts Usagi Yojimbo to shame
I'll be pre-ordering this as soon as I get some ca$h-flow
great job
reminds me of Quake 1.
for all the talk about "freeplay"
there is always the opportunity of just not going through the last part of the game
and just free-roam before completing?
one does not necessarily have to *finish* a game in order to enjoy it.
genius piece of gaming-history
just one question
how/when do you get to save?
and from curiosity; why didn't you credit anyone in the readme?
clearly you are *still* using aLive mod, hence there should be credit to respective authors, no?
just started a new game (again, again, again) and loners still attack bandit camp prematurely and I still get 29k for the merc suit found on the attic in Rookie Camp, *after* installing the patch
Sid gave me a good 30k for my suit as well, so no... it's not fixed.

'tis morning
I'm detoxing
I see no joke
all I see is little bitchy teenagers whining about nothing
as always
it's the ******* internet
people can't spell on-line
what's there to bitch *about*?
it's supposed to say:
"I *know* *isn't* it *terrible*"
funny how you bitch about others spelling, when you can't spell for **** yourself
I'll be damned
I'm retired, but oh no... no selection for us pensioners
damn that was fun
I'd love to see this evolve into something
good luck man, you're being tracked.
^^
"hail to the king" was spoken by Ash (Bruce Campbell) in Evil Dead 3 - Army of Darkness, long before Duke Nuke'm was 3D
sounds promising

I can't really say anything, which hasn't been said before
just keep up the great work, guys
tip:
play the game, 'til you reach the Stadium in Pripyat
make hard-save
roam.
or do you *really* want to explore NPP all that many times?
you can with no problems at all, explore both Pripyat and the rest of the Zone, without ever going through the level-changer to NPP
there are people who spend months (in-game time, without sleeping-bag, i.e. vanilla) just roaming around
freeplay is completely unnecessary, since all it would do, would be to allow you going back from the level-changer in NPP -> Pripyat
