Never assume, GoG has turned down games before and they dont publically state WHY they have turned them down, recently the dev of Meridian Squad 22 (which finally did see a gog release) complained of no communication from GOG (weather this is true or not is unknown as nether party shared any deeper information) That or take advantage of GOG's Ind Dev program, like I am not trying to say dont go with GOG but be prepared as I have heard mixed stories about them. Despite being a massive supporter of the site and its mission.

You can just add the created Doom_3.exe to steam and put +set fs_game redux in the set launch options, works just as well. :)

no, thats just an issue with how UE1 handles visibility culling. unless there is a complete source code rewrite that cant be fixed.

The blockboxes issue is due to UE1's very aggressive visibility culling, its a problem that only a source code release can fix and not something a renderer can fix sadly.
from a forum post the dev said the ammo was cut, but he forgot to remove that placement from the level. just spawn in a clip of plasma ammunition to cover it I guess.
Use "summon" instead of spawnmass.
add -hax0r to the commandline
first bind your talk key to T
then press T backspace till "Say" is gone
spawnmass lockpick X
replace x with the number of lockpicks you want.
if you use summon make sure there is no space after lockpick

I like it since a)you can use it with any version, you know unlike that massive sellout mod like revision which is locked to steam.
I use it with my GOG version :)

fixed it, had to rename pak3.pak to PAK2.PAK
Still doesnt work even on the 32 bit version
