Looks pretty good, but maybe scale it down a bit.
I can only say that I have always wondered that too. But you do know if all stashes are found it sometimes gave some other random stash locations, so maybe it is no tied to story, but just how devs made it.
Hint hint: One of the missions to plant the Streloks Sig in stash. (:

I ended up in Cordon, don't know how. But I knew I had to go to Cordon army base, something pulled me there. So I did. Half way there I met a wandering stalker, didn't talk to him, got closer to army base but shots from an SVD made sure I was not welcome, I rushed their walls so the sniper can't get a shot on me, 2 men with ak74u walked right in my face, had a chance to shoot them both with a single PMM headshot. Took their weapons and slowly went trough their base killing everyone who didn't put their weapons down. In result - killed all of them, took the RPK and the SVD I mentioned before and understood, that this wasn't my calling. Further, moved north on the way patching my wounds I got from an incoming boar, who the hell knows why he was hiding in that bush, a guess - waiting for me. On the way to the railroad met a couple of stalkers wandering and fighting mutants but then my journey ended unexpectedly as I passed out. (the mod crashed)
That was my experience. :)
Tried it out. Some feedback: health bar seems a bit weird, iron sights are there for some weapons, for some not, the sight stays with some iron sights, with some not. Looting money - yay, somewhat the ballistics seems real awesome, the renegades rolling hard, nice.
Beac, I really hoped that you will use the Wotw system you mentioned back then, and you are really going to do it.

Better for it to come full with new content and stable, not as it is now, buggy, with less content.
Nice, Pilot giving quests. Maybe change it so he doesn't say what weapon is the reward, kinda spoils the fun.
