It's been a year since my latest blog about MMA here in my country and with the premier Philippine MMA team I've been a student and training in, TEAM LAKAY.
With my post graduate studies and field work, I've been not that active with ModdB. Anyways, I got some time off from my studies and field work and now to my fellow ModdB enthusiasts in MMA, I just want to repost a delayed livestream link of the current Pacific Extreme Combat event, PXC 41.

In this event, four of the fighters in Team Lakay will be competing. Coach Troy Bantiag, Coach Cris Pitpitunge, Coach Harold Banario and first Filipino Female fighter in PXC, Coach Gina Iniong. Coach Troy and Cris lost but Coach Harold and Coach Gina clinch the win for their respective fights.
Just click on the link ---> PXC 41

On another note:
My ModdB friends, I'm sorry for not being able to help you guys with your mods. As on Monday, I have volunteered myself with an NGO and the Philippine Red Cross to help my fellow countrymen who were the victims of the strongest recorded Super Typhoon that made a landfall in history. Typhoon Hainan is a lot more stronger, than even Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Sandy that devastated the US the past years.
Super Typhoon Hainan made its destructive path in the Central Visayas bringing in nearly tsunamic 15  to 30ft (in some areas) storm surges that flooded its destructive waves from the seas onto numerous coastal towns and villages. The typhoon left a destructive swath with hundreds killed - shocking and appalling are the images of dead casualties, human adults and children stacked up like debris and cordwood at the sides of the streets in cities and villages that were decimated by the typhoon's onslaught. Whole families gone, numerous orphans and missing family members. The death toll will continue to rise every hour for several days as bodies will be discovered. A lot of missing persons are currently being reported specially in coastal towns where those waves from the storm surge took a lot of lives out to sea. The typhoon also affected the Bohol region where it just recently suffered from a 7.2 magnitude earthquake last month. And so I have registered to volunteer myself to help my fellow countrymen for at least 2 weeks. I do hope at least with this gesture, I can lend a hand and help someone in need at their most extreme crisis in their lives.

and in response to your comment on solstix's page. a somewhat neutral comment i say. if you think that it's only me who's putting up a "hardliner" "fight" you are wrong. there are a lot who support vora. it doesn't mean that just because they don't speak up or make their opinions known, it doesn't mean that they don't support him.

and no, personally i do not think the rest of the sl development team had vora banned for modern pack. but there's this one particular person who caused all of this ruckus by making accusing videos. especially that video that guy made that falsely accuses vora had stolen content in modern pack.
and it's because of this person and his actions and that because he is a member of the sl developing team, that's why lots of people think sl had vora banned because kastrenzo, in his videos especially his latest video, seems to represent the whole opinion of the sl team.

but the majority isn't against vora i believe. :)
and life has taught me that some people might have power but power doesn't always guarantee a win or a victory ;)
and that also includes the majority. just because the majority has the advantage in numbers it doesn't guarantee that they will win everytime :)
in summary having an advantage in power or the advantage being the majority doesn't always guarantee sure win or total victory.

ah yes you say that you are neutral - spoken like a true swiss :) - but most of your comments state otherwise. :) anyway that's your opinion and i respect it :) good day to you and happy gaming.

@wladimir - yeah you're right. thanks for the support. let's just say that a silent river means its very deep. just because others don't voice their opinion, it doesn't mean that the majority is against vora. too bad rebornx underestimates vora's supporters.

I am far from "underestimating" the pro and anti vora supporters.

I am just wrtiting right now how this "fight" now has no logical reason to continune (atleast for me). I mean, vora is permabanned but "he's" mods continune to exist in other websites. Websites which anyone has access to.

Still, I must say that I've never experienced such kind of "incident" at this one. I've been on ModDB since about 5 years (had old accounts, forgot emails & passwords for them).

In time I believe the ModDB will probably be in center of "Copyleft" and "Open Source" disscussion à la Richard Stallman.

@rebornx - tell me then that this reason why we support vora's modern pack is not "logical" to you?
vora got permabanned by kastra making an accusing video about how modern pack had stolen arma content on it. basing on it someone with the power got influenced by it and therefore banned vora at a time when he was starting out clean. vora wasn't even allowed to defend himself. on my point of view, that's illogical. that's biased.
and so you are saying that the reason why we "fight" or "support" vora is not logical? please man. don't insult us. i know you see yourself as an intellectual, please back that up. Youtube.com

p.s.
5 years in moddb? so probaly you would be in your late 20s to early 30s? if i am correct that you are swiss, did you do your mandatory time in the swiss army then?

I don't care now if the ban was to hastlly put. Vora could defend himself but instead he just trolled me & Kastrenzo acting like a "Internet Tough Guy" thinking he's untouchable & beyond law. After the ban he just created diffrent accounts and starting screaming how vora was innocent. He could express his regret a little more explitic but he just acted out like he's the boss. In Russian Civil War the pro-Tsar White Army aganist Bolsheviks. They considered them to be a "plague" which would destroy Russia. However, they were anti-reactionist & pro-reformist & wanted to fix the country destroyed by Tsar's kleptocratic & corrupted reigme. They helped the poor, organised food & medical supplies and even created a short-lived goverment lead by an admiral who lost the war due his incompetence in land warfare (an admiral is not suited to direct ground forces).

They would seem to fix Russia & would cared far much for it's citizen then Stalin and his senseless mass purges of people. Then why this "good" side lost you may wonder? Because they didn't voiced their reforms & changes loud enough, they were to fixed on fighting eachother.
The war consumed any rational far-ahead thinking for the future of the country.

I hope you "get" my analogy.

About my military service, I did my "mandatory" time but I am not conscript like most of the Swiss. I consider myself a professional soldier to whom service in the army is something more then a "thing everyone must pass" or a "school". Therefore I am one of the 5% of true dedicated soldiers. You could also call me a someone "more" or perhaps better (in terms of rank) then a simple grunt with an assault rifle.

It's been nice having a conversation with you. This one now being especailly more interesting then the previous ones.

ah..so you are an active soldier or reserve? probably nco or graduate from a military academy?

if you won't mind me asking, what kind of scopes do you attach to your sig550? aside from the standard sig550 what other variants of the weapon do the swiss army use?

Not a reserve soldier, to young for that. Not a NCO, to much knowledge for that.

Your are starting to ask direct questions right now, but oh well. It's not like they're classified.

For the "standard" SIG SG 500 (Sturmgewehr 90 in our nomenclature) there's a Kern 4x24 scope. The SIG SG 500 is pretty much the most outdated variant. It accepts only the Kern as a scope & a underslung GL plus a bayonet. To put it bluntly, this variant basiclly sucks as a modern assault rifle. Not to mention the fact that it's quite long compared to say, American M4A1's.

There's a improved variant the SIG SG 551 with various specialised versions for special forces & police. It can accept most standard NATO used accessories like ACOG's, bipods, laser pointers etc.
It's also has a shorter barrel.

The SIG SG 552 & 553 are the most modern variants. They are pretty much like the American M4A1's with SOPMOD in terms of usefullness. They are the carbine versions of former ones.

CQB sights are popular for 552 & 553. longranged scopes are popular for 551 & 550.

There's also the most newest next-gen SIG SG which is a clear copy of US M4 carbine only with 550 shooting system.

If there's anything you would like to know more either PM me or search the Wikipedia.
