Don't worry about Fatboy...It's Avitus's favorite so It will be powerful :P
Now as for the XPs everything will be balanced don't worry, each XP will have its flaw/weak point...
If you've noticed even the Dragon that dishes extreme amounts of damage, is extremely slow and has small range(which means prone to kiting) ;)

I remember a clip from a Star Trek movie I watched many years back (nemesis if I recall), and there was a tiny red energy dot, that had MASSIVE amounts of energy produced, enough to create black holes....
so please, don't apply rules and physics to fantasy games, it makes them boring...that's my two cents on the "logic part"...

now as far as the model is concerned, the model is already RE-HAULED, with more parts in the body, better cannon, and veteran upgrades....you will see it in a while ;)

Well, I'm going to state it once again, I haven't played ANY of the Total Annihilation games (only Kingdoms which has nothing to do with mechs)....
So this model has NOTHING to do with Fido...I just googled it, and yeah I can see the resemblance, but this unit was not based on it ;)

the truth is that I would like to see it in the field, but this specific one is really high pollied.... The thing is that it is quite similar to our Cybran Dragon, so you miiiight see some of it's aspects get incorporated into the Dragon later on ;)

secondly, it looks badass even if it is not moving....so the shredding thing (while I agree that would be awesome but) it is not required...
Third, I wont comment on that for obvious reasons ;)
Fourth, It's advantage is it's speed, and it's ability to get launched instead of traveling to its destination....

the thing is that Cybran designs are fearsome in appearance..It's one of their "things" I would say...after all psychology in battle always plays a role.. ;)

Well to be honest I thought using Rise of Legends concepts many times throughout my Aeon modeling designs... They are indeed cool, but they luck that smootheness we are trying to achieve... But overall yeah, they have that living "statue" thing that we all loved (I believe) int he vanilla Aeon ;)

So be sure that they are getting that feel back ;)

I thought that the design you proposed was for the UEF! I just realized it's for Aeon, well all I can is that the Aeon will get what they deserve when the time comes, I have some experimentals in my mind for them that would complement their army pretty darn well ;)

I really doubt that a huge air battleship would complement well with their current army, imagine a line of fatboys, packed with a line of T3 Sniper gunships, and some of your proposed experimental fortresses...what has a hope of even coming close?

let alone the experimental tower defense the UEF has....

Since most of the alter tiered UEF units are good all-rounders, they have anti-air capabilities, a look at the UEF T3 units will convince you, a quick example is the T3 Siege Mech which has two anti-air flak cannons, many T4 experimentals also have anti-air capabilities, which brings me to the point that while UEF do not currently have an anti-air only experimental, they don't actually need it because half of their army will have mediocre anti-air capabilities, missiles and bullets will fly towards enemy air force from half of your army, what else do you want?
(if the woodpecker was an AA fighter-plane as someone suggested)

2nd point
For me an ideal airplane experimental for UEF would be a carpet bomber, but then again we'll see it through time for it's purpose... for a strafing A-10 one, I'm not sure, I don't have anything In mind, although I can imagine one for them, that's why I said, propose your idea and we'll see...
(that is if the Woodpecker was an AG plane)

My friend, I ensure you that your viewpoint is like that because I can tell you are a dying UEF fan, which thwarts your vision...
Now back to the point, If a player spends time (and resources) to build 15 soul rippers, the other player will have the equivalent of 4000 simple fighters...trust me through my experience even against heavy turtler players, nobody has the patience and time to risk building that many experimentals of ONE TYPE....by the time you have your first one (or if you truly are good second one) the other player will harass you and force you to spend resources towards something else...

Besides I don't really see the whole point of it, advantages should be applicable every here and there inside an RTS...for example the UEF has a clear advantage in its navy, this doesn't make the rest factions navy useless, you just have to put more effort on outsmarting your enemy, while you use YOUR advantages like ground forces in Aeon...

I hate rock-paper-scissor RTSs like Starcraft were all factions are equal on all points...There should be weaknesses, and a good strategist could and should surpass them with his advantages....

Don't try to push real-life mechanics into game lore... It's different working systems ;)
But to answer you there might be many reasons to switch from vehicles to mechs (in in-game lore):

1) propaganda reasons ("we can also achieve this", "imposing sizes" etc.)
2) switch of arms contractors
3) Research and Development
4) unification
and the list goes on...

I can see where you're heading with the land kreuzers, and I have to inform you that the new fatboy is a huge "bolo" so it fulfils your "lust"....and at earlier stage you have the T4 tank which also has many many many weapons...and even earlier you have another little (BIG) fella on tracks which is still classified ;P

the UEF had and will continue to have TONS of air support, sometimes better than all factions, so I don't see your point... The lack of an air fighter experimental doesn't lower the fact that the UEF still has the best fighters (as normal units), and for the soul ripper, you have plenty of options...from anti air ground units, to T3 Air superiority fighters, to the "AirCleaner" ship vessel....

If you are talking about normal units, then we have both wheeled and tracked ones here and there too... Can't remember the exact number, and not sure if we shown them all :P

that is all that I had to say.... If you really want to continue about the model not being "detailed" enough, I think the best one to answer you is Avitus....I'm giving up with this case....

Fourthly, it is the iconic model of Cybran up to now, with the biggest fan-base...

to be honest, I was a fun of the original Megalith in FA, and yes in SC2 the Megalith is not even close to its predecessor.... but I don't think that we will Revamp any of the SC2 units for now.... at least as far as I know... in the next version maybe...although I believe the next version will be more focused on naval warfare...
