Games are pretty fun. I'm more into puzzles that challenge my MIND, not my click reflexes. BUT, there are quite a few shooting games I enjoy. I'll play any Valve game. World of Goo is ok. I'm also into games that let me create what I want like Spore and LineRider and a game I can't remember that I don't have anymore that I REALLY liked. And I hope that I can remember it so I can get it again. I am currently trying to start developement on some games/mods I want to make.

Hey guys. Just thought I would keep my promise and do those reviews. Getting late and I just remembered. Anyway, in this post, I'll be reviewing:  Strider Mountain, Poke646, Left 4 Dead 2, and I'll talk about a few things I've been thinking about.

Strider Mountain: Well. I must say. I was looking forward to the mod. I was expecting a hella long, fun and puzzle-filled, actiony and violent and hard first person shooter. And that's what I got. Despite all the weapons being FPSBanana skins and even the climbing axe from Kreedz Climbing, the combat was exiting and full of enemies, constantly keeping you jumping for new cover and swirling around quickly to release hell onto snowy Combine Soldiers. And me being me, and having created the foliage spawn for Gmod, I was impressed by the foliage of this game. It felt immersive and inviting but at the same time scary and dark. And with the new location of the Combine, it gives a new look on the Half-Life universe. But I was angered to see that it was so stereotypically video-gamey and that you played as Gordon Freeman. Not only that, but voice acting and face posing were bland and boring and the cut-scenes should have been left out. But I give Strider Mountain a review of 8/10 for the above reasons.

Poke646: I heard so much about this Half-Life mod before I got to play it. "dood its osum and its so cool but the story dosnt fit with hl2 but its still so cool!!!"
Well that 13-year-old was right. The story is a paradox with Half-Life 2, but yet the game-play and story just feel... Right. There was an explanation for most of the things in the mod, and the weapons were beastin' (I loved the shotgun). And just recently I saw the Poke646: Vendetta mod after asking if there was a sequel. And I KNOW I'm gonna play that. If you own the first Half-Life game, get this. Seriously. This was added to my "All-Time Mod Favorites List" that I have saved on my computer and I refuse to uninstall it. But I give Poke646 a 9/10 for the above reasons.

Left 4 Dead 2: Being the VALVe junkie that I am, I couldn't wait for Left 4 Dead 2. I loved the original and when I saw the trailer for the second, that was the ONLY time I have ever squealed and jumped around and screamed into my pillow with excitement. And that's also the only time I'll ever do that. While I will object to a third, I won't object to ANY DLC for this game because I could have fun in L4D2 with just being inside a box that endlessly floods with zombies. I LOVE IT. But, there are a few downsides. All melee weapons (except chainsaw) are basically reskins of each other, just with different effects and sounds. That makes me disappoint. I was also disappointed by a few small things, such as the lack of leg models, a few character lines, and the whole "play with someone who preordered and you get their shit" thing. I preordered. That baseball bat is MINE, and some faggy 12-year-old shouldn't get MY bat because I preordered and HE didn't. I don't know why, but that aggravates me. But I give Left 4 Dead 2 a 9.5/10 for the above reason.

And speaking of L4D2 and DLC, this "No Salvation" DLC thing looks so awesome. Not only is it official DLC that's coming out soon after the game, but the fact that it has new survivors and new weapons and new maps make me want it more. And VALVe being VALVe, they were able to make the site for the DLC look like a simple rock band site. But if you read it from the view of a suspecter, you realize there's  so many hints that this is DLC. Anyway, I can't wait to kill zombies as a survivor named "Ox." Seriously, that's bad-ass.

Aaaaand that concludes this update. Thanks for reading.
